Hi guys.

I don't know about rc planes, but I fly rc planes. Now i want to upgrade my radio. I willing to buy a nitro kit and 52 engine. So can anyone tell me a good radio for nitro planes. My budget is 16,000rs +/-.

I have short listed some radios. Considering my budget you can tell radio other than this.

* JR XG6 - 6Ch Telemetry Radio

* Hitec OPTIC 6 SPORT 2.4GHz 6-Channel AFHSS Digital Computer Radio Control System (No Servo Version)

* Hitec Optic 5 - 2.4GHz 5-Channel Aircraft Radio Control System

You would be downgrading going from 9 channel to 6 channel?

I didn't understand your words.  ???

All short listed radios are 6ch and 7ch  :headscratch:

He was talking about your existing FS-TH9X

I am fearing to fly nitro with FS-TH9X.

Whichever radio you decide, pick one that comes with a "full range RX" as opposed to a micro-lite RX with one short antenna.  Ideally, you will want dual antenna or one with a built-in satellite RX.  I woul dpick the Futaba before the Hitec since the Futaba RX looks a bit  more robust with the dual antennas.\

Something like these RX are both good

Hi Aniket,
I fly 46 size nitro planes and I have been using the Futaba 6EX Radio system for over 2 years now with S3001 servos on ailerons and S3004 on all other controls.
The radio has never given me any problems. It is very reliable and personally, I have never faced a glith.

your 9x is good enough for glow power models - if in doubt do a range check.
do take care in your installation and isolate the receiver from vibrations.

remember - the radio does not know whether it is flying glow , electric or even driving
a robotic cow - all it does is sends commands to the reciever.

think logically and try not to get swayed by all the hype and hooplah.

I fully agree with Saikat. First and foremost a radio set should be reliable.

I have been using the HiTec Optic Sport 6 2.4 GHz for over 3 years, and have 3 HiTec Receivers. I have never faced any problem: glitch or range (and at times I have really gone far - not by design, but because of orientation :) ) . I bought it from RC4all, and once by mistake reversed the battery connections and blew the Tx; rc4all repaired it in a week and the charges were reasonable.
