Great, this radio has come compelling new features.
Would you be getting the USB cable for firmware upgrade ? I think it would be a good idea to provide a service to customers where they can send in radios for a firmware upgrade.
Also could you find out if telemetry from the rx would be added as a upgrade/feature in future firmware releases ? This feature is available on hitec aurora 9.
Another thing I wanted to know was if something like "model match" in JR/Spektrum is available. There was some indication of a similar capability but was not clear, probably due to patent restrictions.
I presume all ranges of receivers are coming in too.
ETA ?

ETA its on its way.
Aurora is module based radio its not a full 2.4Ghz radio. Most radio manufacturers are going to stop Module based radio and also ppm radios completely.
The airtronics SD 10G has Triple rates, 9 point curves
Regarding later updates still cannot answer that as its too early but it for sure that a lot of new items are coming from airtronics.
Yes all range of receivers are coming soon.

I received this by mail from Kartik just wanted to share it with everyone, also mentioned them to put up this for the other items so people know that alot of stuff is available at prices cheaper than when we import from the US.

TOWERHOBBIES
The following items will ship to you from our Champaign, Illinois distribution center
LXXMY3 Airtronics SD-10G 10-Channel 2.4GHz Tx/Rx System 1 509.99
125 Promotional Discount -125.00
In-Stock Items (reflects promotional discount): $384.99
Priority Mail International: + $51.99
Subtotal (based on in-stock items only): $436.98
Total Current Charges: $436.98
On USD 436.98 add custom duty of 30% which is approx USD 130
Therefore total come to USD 566.98
The same is available in India for Rs. 25000/- including taxes & shipping which is USD 500/- taking exchange rate at Rs. 50/- per USD. So a saving of $67 or Rs. 3350/-
Therefore buying from India itself is cheaper than after the 25% discount coupons of tower. {:)}
This is without considering the exchange rate charges of CC, going to FPO many times, etc.
India is finally becoming cheaper than towerhobbies imports, great going.
Just keep the good work going.
With such pricing, the only reason for ordering from outside is "availability" (i.e. what is in stock).
Availability is there most of the time. Yes month or two even abroad items go on back order but people are willing to wait.
Here are some videos on the SD 10G

I am not sure about availability. I remember recent discussion with Spektrum DX7 not being available anywhere. Someone else couldn't find Futaba 7C FASST anywhere either, a little while back. So yes, something are available, but may not be the common ones (or may be even preferred ones, for various reasons).
If the shops also offer training, that would be a great crowd puller. I see it being executed very successfully here, which is also an additional revenue stream.
Can't speak on other brands that we do not carry as now.

Here is a link on the helifreak.com forum some great videos for everyone especially for the Heli guys. About 9-10 videos are there

It just felt great holding it. 8)
Need to put some money away soon for it or will apply for one HDFC CC as they have an 0% interest on it for 3 EMI months on HDFC Cards.

Ya, SD-10G is indeed a BMW Z4 at the price of an Eclipse!! But are you sure that these 3 EMI option dont have a 'hidden' processing charge of 1000 or so ? which may translate to equivalent interest ?
I wish RCD could give the stuff without VAT when paid by cash. 22.5K for the SD-10 would have been even more irresistible.
Yes its 0% EMI & 0 processing charge and only on HDFC Bank CC.
Yes thats perfectly correct
