Hi All,

I just purschased turnigy 9x tx mode 2 from Pankaj -New to 2.4 Ghz setting - current setting is Mode 1 & I was trying to change the setting to mode 2 therefore went to menu-system set up-drop down to (stick set)-pressed menu mode 2 is setected (left THR & RUDD RIGHT ALER & ELEV)Then I pressed Menu(as ok) -THRO REVERSE? appears -pressed EXIT (no reverse)no response, pressed really hard then the TX gives a beep but in the main screen it still shows as Mode 1,Get to understand unless the mode is not changed the TX will not bind rx?
Can some one help me out.

see many vidoes on you tube but this problem is unique or Im not tunning it right ?

regards
Peter

Hi Peter,

Same as mine, but have you tryed to check ur channels after change,
After that change you find your throtal on left (but still it will show Mode1 on screen)
so dont worry and use it

or may be some more experience person put some light on this topic

Relax peter ,do what gbisht told you ,first check with your rx channel setting and mode 1 that appearing on the screen its not "Mode" setting its a Model no 1! "mode " will not be displayed on screen!
To increase thrust you need more  money! But to reduce weight you  need nothing!

gbisht

Yes Preveen
I checked and u r riht that is Model notr mode.
I changed Model and now its showing Mode 8

Look,
Throttle is not spring Loaded.

And assume you have messed up completely (Though this is not fact, but I take worst condition).

So, if you convert the mode, you need to change Spring either, or you may interchange the entire duel-joystick setup keeping all jumpers intact.

1. Now, Set up first The receiver. Connect 4 dry cell pack  (As receiver battery) to spair channel (or Battery) and connect Servos on all 4 channels.
2. Now just move one direction of one stick and mark the movement of servo. Mark all.
Same time, Adjust offset of each channels and again mark.
3. The easiest is just insert proper Servo/ESC as per your marked Channel.
                        BUT
4. Just open up and open the POTs connection to PCB and fix at proper Slot (Interchange).

You can get complete OK System.

Thanks

Hi Kalyan,

The TX is mode 2 -(left THR & RUDD RIGHT ALER & ELEV).Nothing messed up but I dont know the exact sequence of binding the RX to TX.Mode does not need a change, its only the settings

pls tell me the exact sequence of setting the  TX TO RX.
STEP BY SEPT -Seen many videos on you tube  & tried those method but the TX does not bind with RX ,I've been told by the seller Pankaj verma (if you read this mail then pls guide me as there is no MANUAL in yr TX) that the mode 1 should first be changed to mode 2 then only will the TX bind with RX.

This was the setup process

menu-system set up-drop down to (stick set)-pressed menu mode 2 is setected (left THR & RUDD RIGHT ALER & ELEV)Then I pressed Menu(as ok) -THRO REVERSE? appears -pressed EXIT (no reverse)no response, pressed really hard then the TX gives a beep but in the main screen it still shows as Mode 1.

Hi Peter,

First u should have Bind Plug
but it is little bit wrong on binding and name mention on Rx

1. Plug bind plug into Batt (second from top)
2. Plug battery/esc into any other port (use first, which is BIND)
3. Power up RX (You will see red blinking LED into Rx)

4. Now, While holding the bind button on the back of the Tx power on the TX from Front
5. Wait till the Rx Red light stops flashing

Turn off the TX, Remove power from RX, Remove bind plug.

Turn the TX+RX back on and give it a test :) Now you can plug your battry/ESC on BAT pins

I hope this will informative for you

thanks

Hi gbisht,

Thanks for the below advise -Finally it did bind both( 2 rx) my RX but this was possbile with the help of Mr gbisht  & SAI -thanks for the small & simple process.

what I did was just as Mr gbisht said but I made a little changes for other new comer to learnt,I hope you dont mind & if wrong ,pls correct below
   1) I put the bind plug in (bind/batt) 1st slot from top.
   2) Put the esc futaba connector -wires white facing upward then Red & black dowward -For powering the RX.
   3) then like gbisht said Power up RX (You will see red blinking LED into Rx)
   4) Now, While holding the bind button on the back of the Tx then press the  TX power on from Front.DONT RELEASE the Buttom till bind process is complete i.e RED LIGHT REMAINS ON CONSTATNTLY.
   5) Wait for couples of seconds till the Rx Red light stops flashing & is lit constant red -binding is         complete.
   6) Turn off the TX ,  Disconnect power source of RX, & then finally remove bind plug from RX.
   7) Now connect the ESC -futaba connector to RX along with 2 servoes for test ,switch on Tx power & then RX  power -The red light will be lit constantly -Check the movement of servoes & which ever needs to be adjested -reversed (minor setting ) can be done once the bind is complete.

I've further made it more simpler for the other newer comer who will find it easy to bind 2.4GHZ .

Peter

Hai all Modellers..Mode 1 and Mode 2 !!!..i wonder from your confusions..actually what is the aim of a radio control..? yes, to control our crafts in means of wireless..so, whatever may be the channels our radio set employs, there must be only two main universal control columns on Tx..means, there must be two Stick units, that can be pulled, pushed, and turned in 360 degree..yes..? sure, so, these control sticks holds only total of 4 channel..yes..? yes..so, all other channels will be splitted on any potentio meters, or switches anywhere else on Tx..then why all you are burning your brain a lots..? simply open the back cover, and replace the stick spring to your desired side..and there is no any nessesity, to connect this to this, instead we can connect all needed controls with our preferences..means, you can connect the rudder surface control to any channel..if so, why we worry a lots..? when i drive two boats with one Tx, with two identical receivers, i use the left side control column for first boat, as throttle, cum left and right, while the right side control column for second boat..by just removing the spring belongs to right hand side control column..so, please do not consider these stick controls as messy..now, we are looking for a complicated radio set with LCD displays..but remember about the golden days of RCying with basic 4 channel radio sets..with 4 servo reversing switches on panel..just like Futaba TV4F..

Rightly pointed out by praveen. The home screen displays Mode 1 for MODEL 1. The 'L' is missing for some reasons. It is not the MODE, it is the MODEL No. without the 'L'
