one thing can u tell me i m looking for a tx and rx because i want to build a car .
i already have a rx and a tx 27mhz. but the range is to low as they only workin 200mtr. i want an rx and tx of atleast 1 km range . spectrum rx6110 and dx6i tx has this power but in india
they are about 16000 rs and in us ebay it is only 160$ or 8000rs apprx . so can u suggest me if buy this from us ebay or go for any other model in india which has same power,.i dont know about any model, there is no place in delhi to purchase.i m intrested in this spectrum model. help any one
Have you considered this ? http://www.rcdhamaka.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=89&products_id=226
The RCDhamaka folks can help confirm the average range.
BTW, at 1km you cannot see the car :) Are you doing some kind of FPV ?
Ordering radios from outside pretty much always ends up in customs hassles. Based on the history posted here by various members, it can be done, but it may test your patience.
Since you seem to be going for an aircraft radio for car use, almost any full range airplane radio should have this range (so you are not limited to Spektrum alone).
thanks prateek ,
can u tell me few more things
#is there any range difference between using various frequencies like 27mhz,42mhz,72mhz and ,2.4ghz (new one).difference concerning controlling upto 100mtr ,200mtr ,1km.if yes then which is the best,
#i searched and found on ebay (as i dont knoe any other site to purchase rc radios)that spectrum dx6i and rx 6110suitr under my budget as itis only for 160$ or 7360rs approx.+ shipping i dont know how much as these us persons only send bu usps with insurance.so should i purchase it frm ebay. or should i have to pay any additonal cost
like customs and all ;.
Range is dependent mostly on TX power and capability of receivers, than what frequency band is used.
There are many threads here on importing radios, and the associated customs issues. Please use the "Search" option from the menu. Simply put, it is best avoided in the current climate. You can expect to pay customs costs up to 25%.
thnks anwar
concerning patience i have much for a good satisfactory product butmain thing is money. i dont want to spend over 9000.
that means the higher i go in frequency the higher range i will get . actually i m using wireless camera on car thats why i want higher range

I am not sure how you arrived at this conclusion, but it is not generally the case. In fact, for normal RC applications, both the FM bands (72Mhz etc) and 2.4Ghz will yield similar ranges (as long as you use the "full range" units of both). Plus "range" itself is needs some clarification, because pure "distance" achieved cannot be considered as "range", it is also a matter of "how clean the signal is at a particular distance".
People have reported higher range here, with regular 72Mhz radios and Corona receivers. Unless you want a Spektrum radio for long term usage, you have lots of options locally itself.

Sir,
72Mhz or 2.4Ghz is just the carrier. It is the spectrum used for communication. It does not have to do with range. Range depends on the output power of your transmitter - TX. Futaba 2.4 Ghz transmit a power of approx 170 mA. A typical 500mA power output would give you a range of approx 1 mile or more.
Range is also dependent on obstruction. Since 2.4Ghz waves are smaller, they tend to get absorbed easily and hence they say the range is less. With clear LOS, a tx transmitting at a power of 500mA would give you 1 mile on both 72 Mhz and 2.4Ghz.
People are moving to 2.4Ghz not because the range is better, only because the interference can be avoided and no clashes beacuse of continous hopping or time slicing.
However, 72Mhz would be less prone to obstruction AS COMPARED to 2.4Ghz because of the wavelength size.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!!!
thankyou
saurab and anwar
as i must say i got all download from saurab easily while anwar points were quite techinal to me as i m bignr , but thank u so much to both of u. :) :) :) :) :
can i get a programable rx and tx with 500ma in 10k ???
what is fpv????
shrivastav sir i have just checked
http://www.gpdealera.com/cgi-bin/wgainf100p.pgm?I=FUTK63**
there is nothing like 150 ma or 500 ma in features of tx
Ummm I think all these radios are meant for planes... Car radios are 2 channel... You won't need the other 4 channels...

Please check your Futaba manual. The power will be mentioned in the manual. I have seen it in 6EX radio manual.
I dont think you will get a radio with 500 mA power output. Can you be a little more specific what exactly are you looking for?
Are you looking for a transmitter and receiver for RC flying or looking to JUST TRANSMIT VIDEO signals upto 1 km?
oh comon , i need minimum 4 channels
actually i m building a robot car in which i need 1 rx and tx of atleast 5 channel and atleast 800 to 1 km range .and after that i will transmit video signals from than vehical to, just like a bomb defuse robot car .
ok. in that case, you may want to get the Hitec radio from Sai (11k combo) and also get an FPV with atleast 1Watt output. you can get all of them from Sai.

can any one check this out , can i use it for ground as well as air , it is under my budget
you can use it anywhere but you will have to pay $199+shipping+customs and would take at least 45-60 days in delivery.
and there is some customs and WPC issue with these spectrum radios.
better option as told before by me is

??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???
a rc car needs no more than 3 channels and you cannot transmit or receive video signals with your radio setup
for that you need another fpv setup

ya ya i know i will need seprate rx and tx for videos transmissin i have a saprate plan for that ,but what that means "wpc and customs issue"
and i have checked ur listings i cannot use that tx cause there is no reverse stick , i already have that one but it is of only 27 mhz

Please do a search here on the forum for "WPC approval". The resulting threads often carry information that would be useful to you anyways.
hi sir ,
i dont know much about rc , but from past few days i learned a lot as i m sitting all day long on rc and google. coming to the point can u plz plz give me a serios suggesston .
i want a tx and rx (futaba or spectrum or any brand) which can give me range of atleast 1 km ) and of minimum 5 chaneels .i want to use that thing for ground also for a robot ..my budget is 8k to 9k.
waiting for a satisfactory rply
thanks
You basically have these choices.
1. Go with a simple TX, something like the one available from RCForAll or HK, in which case you have lots of spare budget.
OR
2. Increase your budget a bit, and go for a good 6 channel full range leading brand radio that would last a life time.
OR
3. You may be able to find USED branded radios on classifieds sales here, within your budget. Radios are things that can be bought second hand without much thought, as long as the seller confirms that it is in good shape. Routine usage (with normal care!) does not cause any sort of significant wear and tear on radios.
