Hello.

I'm a beginner and have been flying for about a year, mostly electric planes and quad copters. Plan to upgrade to nitro soon.
I'm currently using the JR XG6 and find the no of channels insufficient for my quad copter and am looking forward to upgrade to a 8-9ch radio.

My current options are:
1. the JR XG8 (had a talk with RcDhamaka, will be in stock soon.)
2. Graupner MZ 18/ MZ 24 from RcBazaar
3. FrSky Taranis X9D plus with X8r receiver.

My budget- around 27k, can't stretch any further.

The JR has been around for a long , long time and is very reliable. But the features of the Graupner and Taranis far outweigh the JR.

This is where I would request the experts like Anwar Sir and Iyer Sir to step in and guide me.
Is there any other radio I should consider as well? Are the Graupner and FrSky radios any good? People who are currently using /have used these radios kindly share your experience as well.

Also, if anyone's selling their used Futaba /JR radio I'm interested, PM me.

Thank you in advance. :hatsoff:

You may look to buy Hitec Aurura 9.  It is my most loved set.
Well I been into aeromodelling since I was in School....  and then been in the air for over 30 years.  Now looking to be back into aeromodelling full time...

Tanmay- I can't find the X9e in stock anywhere.

Shobhit- Thanks for your suggestion but I'd rather stick with either of the three radios I've mentioned.

The MZ18 & X9D do not fall in the same category IMO.
Functionality & cost of X9D outweighs the MZ by a huge margin. I have used the MZ18 before and as an avid Taranis user I can confidently tell you that the learning curve is the same.
Oh and HoTT receivers costs almost double that of Frsky's.
And if you fancy a touch screen, I suggest you wait up for the Horus.
