Guys,
If I were to use another Rx for my 2.4 GHz Spektrum Dx61 instead of the AR6200 supplied, Can I use a corona? if yes then which one?

hi pankaj

i don't think you can do that as both 2.4Ghz receivers are not compatible (assuming u haven't installed a corona RF transmitter module in the radio)

Today might be a great and wonderful day. It depends on you.

dude I presume you will have to spend 5k + shipping and of course checking the availability of spektrum receivers as they sell like hot cakes..

Actually I was trying to figure out whether or not a cheaper option is available with this Rx.

Spektrum has a range of receivers, including more affordable ones for foamies / park-flyers. You can go for the AR6110 version if you are flying small electrics.

If anyone knows about any LHS having these, please post here. Both Indian Hobbies and Rotor Chennai do not seem to carry these.

I think all these Radio OEMs have struck a secret deal amonst them to follow their own propriety radio encoding so that all of them remain cash rich! its like Ford Cars would need Ford Roads!

With FM Tx-Rx being overly ubiquitously inter-operable (barring the -/+ shift issues), most of the OEM were mostly selling Tx only, while people used to rarely come back to them for Rx and go for Al'cheapo chinese brands.

As longs as there will propriety systems, I guess cheap Rx is a piped dreamed with quality Tx systems.

Whats left? HACK !T , but guys like Sanwa have become smarter. In RDS8000, the Computer/RF module are integrated on one board. Its a risky job to hack them with Assan modules. As Murphy Law governs - 'No situation is so bad that it can't get even worse'!
