As a part of my professional activities, I conduct Soft Skills Training Workshops for the staff of a major Healthcare provider. Yesterday, as a part of Lateral Thinking, I introduced them to Depron Plate Gliders. I was truly impressed by the participants grasp of ratios and proportions, and in no time they constructed the gliders which flew beautifully!
They were delighted as they had learnt how to make a new toy for their children, nephews and nieces. Now they also want to hold an inter departmental glider flying competition!
Here we go...............
Nice one sir :)
:hatsoff: wow !! inbuilt polyhedral wings from plates.... looking like as if they are custom moulded wings for glider.... great efforts there VC Sir.
Thanks!
Cost of building a glider : Rs. 7/-
Enjoyment : Priceless!
Today the ladies joined in. They are more meticulous and exact while the guys are more 'lets get on with it and fly the damn thing!"
The first picture shows broom sticks being selected for fuselages.
Seems like a happy lot. No testing was possible due to torrential downpours.
nice workshop, some of them may even think of putting some power system too in future
by the way r u there in the pics,
I really wouldn't call this a workshop. More of a fun session. No, I was behind the camera. Thanks!

Thank you Sir, trying to sow as many seeds as possible. Some will bear fruit. Someday!
i think assam has lot of activities going around always
i would love to see these types of sessions in other states as well , see how the people are calmly enjoying ....
nice efforts..
Thanks Vineet. If you want to start it in Delhi, let me know. I would be honoured to be of service. Will email all details to you, if you decide to conduct a similar workshop.
Whow,
Styrofoam Glider, This should be introduced in different workshops. This is not only cheap but also slow flying. God Job.
Sanding wing and using cello-tape in leading edge is the hack for this model. Plate edge adds stability automatically.
vc, In our wiki, please enrich by our knowledge and experience with different model plans, trimming, adjustments, tricks and materials please.
Thanks
would be honored too , send the details
by the way we donot have open spaces
Nice work vc sir! {:)}

Thanks Mickey. Since people are interested, I will soon detail the process of organising and conducting a simple aero camp here.
Zonuna, no videos unfortunately. Must shoot one the next time.
