Thank you so much for your support, we really appreciate it..  {:)}

This is so frustrating......................one anachronistic, hard nosed, bureaucratic, pompous, self righteous, indignant official who is out to prove his power with a foot scale is enough to dash the hopes of a team. Shame, this is INDIA.

Thank you all, and thank you Rcpilotacro, after a long fight today the AI has given us a Full refund for our flight, First, they tried to force us to board a Guwahati flight by giving them an additions of Rs. 1200/- per ticket (re-schedule charge) (whats the use ? we are already late for The Fest !!)

Anyway we are to release a "Press Release" against the AI Manager plus we will make sure he goes to the court, We took this matter very serious and we will not call a quit.

Like Rcpilotacro said "one corrupt guy " spoil our once in a lifetime GOLDEN opportunity, there is a scar in our heart that will never go away.

sravan

Its quite a pity. Had it been any other airlines they would have talked some sense. When there are seven people travelling i think that much of luggage can be carried. Even if he s asking for extra it should be some reasanoble amount. Whopping 29000?. Becasue of this kind of service Air India always runs in losses. They should learn from other private airlines?. But why will they the govt keeps bailing them out every time being a govt airlines. Gusty sir i could not make it to the airshow but made it to the flypast. How was the flypast? nd the airshow. Awaiting pics.

rcpilotacro

superb flypast! i was right below you for a headon cross on my 50 cy

This was published in today's Telegraph. One of these birds was being piloted by Sravan, I guess. Gusty I'm sure that you have  requested the newspapers to carry a detailed article. Let us know once that appears.

Congrats again!

Report in Today newspaper and my Addiction X

"IAF organises Air Festival 2012

From a Correspondent

SHILLONG, Oct 20: The Indian Air Force (IAF) on Saturday organised the "Air Festival- 2012" at the Advanced Landing Ground (ALG), Headquarters Eastern Air Command (HQ EAC), Upper Shillong, on Saturday.

Air Marshal RG Burli, Vayu Sena Medal, Senior Air Staff Officer, Headquarters Eastern Air Command (HQ EAC), inaugurated the festival.

The Air Force, the Army, the Assam Rifles personnel and their families, thousands of children, youths, men and women of Shillong and neighbouring areas thronged the ALG to witness the festival.

The festival began with the fly past of SU-30, frontline fighter aircraft of the IAF.

The aircraft flew in VIC formation led by Wing Commander, PA Shah. 'Sky Diving' demonstration was carried out by 'Air Devils', a renowned sky diving team of IAF.

The sky diving team consisted of six members led by Squadron Leader TK Choudhury.

A team of 14 commandos of Special Forces of Indian Air Force 'GARUD' performed slithering operations. The team was led by squadron leader NK Pal.

Group Captain MJ Augustine and his team kept the audience spell bound by a scintillating aero modeling demonstration. Remote controlled aircrafts were flown to entertain the spectators. Air Force Band played beautiful tunes throughout the day and entertained the audience.

A publicity stall was set up by Headquarters Eastern Air Command and Airmen Selection Centre, Guwahati to create awareness amongst the youths of Shillong and neighbouring areas. All the relevant information pertaining to recruitment and carrier opportunities available in IAF was provided in the stall.

The "Air Festival" was organised to create awareness about Air Force amongst youths and general public of the northeast region and to motivate the youths to consider the IAF as a prospective profession in future.

The Air Fest also showcased a spirit of adventure amongst air warriors and their families with much enthusiasm and gaiety.

Closer Look at the Addy X, It was quite windy so couldn't do as desired, for civilian population, simple take off and landing is good enough for good round of applause

we had food, water on the house for all, Memento presentation where all the participants were given a Wapiti Repelica and we had a good party in the afternoon,

Sandy's Airborne video on a Skywalker and his ground station was superb. Mock Combat left people aghast, 50 CY, made specifically for the occasion, rose to it, all in all, was a great day and truly deserved a Johnny Walker ;)

Thank You watching, pics from the official Camera Person to follow  ;D

I shall get well soon, but this event won't return for another year. I take solace in the assumption that I shall be a better flyer then and then shall be able to contribute more to this wonderful event.
