Sir, I was one of them...My name is Anirudh Sharma and as you suggested i have joined this site, and i should say that this is a great site, i saw many forums in the beginners section, many of the were not that difficult to make but the problem lies in availability and the expenses. I am serious about this and have planned to make some models in my summer vacation.....anyway i made 2 gliders from that sunpack(i am not sure about the spelling) and the gamari fuselage, i used feviquick as superglue and fevicol decorative adhesive. One of them did fly well when force is applied, it takes a loop in the air and then beautifully glide to some distance (around 20-30 mtrs),the other one used to dip on the ground everytime i launched it, then i reduced the weight on the nose but it did not glide well. But i really enjoyed making all this and lastly THANK YOU SIR FOR THE GREAT WORKSHOP YOU TOOK IN OUR SCHOOL..:-)

Hi Anirudh Sharma,

Welcome to our forum. Please go to our wiki portion found in top black strip.
You will know the things in step by step.
After Glider, its time to RC. but knowledge is first.

Thanks.
We have to unite and to prove ourself to make indigenous products as well as marketing / Canvasing them. I'm sure we must achieve success if we try unitedly.

Brownie, the School Mascot and Inspector General of Gliders, checks out the students efforts. He 'tasted' one of the Coro Gliders and chewed on his approval! :giggle:

I read the wiki pages and i really liked the electric power system page, everything was clearly said taking beginners in mind...

mystical.ani

I have learnt many new things here but RC seems to be a bit complicated, i dont want to buy, i want to make... if there are any good pages you want to suggest, please let me know

Type "basic aerodynamics of flight" on Google and see what comes up........

The workshop started with the students flying some ready made Depron gliders to know what they were aiming for and then they started cutting out the plates according to the measurements given. These young people had NEVER experienced anything remotely associated with Aeromodelling, so I thought they should start with the very basics.

At the end of the first day, they had assembled the depron giders and we let them rest in the Staff Room for the night. The next day the Coro Construction started. Then we had to fly them and see what we had created.

whoo, it was a great workshop... and as VC said we were there to HAVE FUN!!!

KALYANPRODHAN

Hey MJA,

Your thread is awsome and really helpfull. In each class, teachers display 100 and a few can take upto 80-95. But that doesnot matter. Being the students remaining same, more materials, more study and more information / inputs. Please enrich our wiki too simultaniously.

And, VC, Good display of our forum and RCBazaar too. :hatsoff:

VC

Thanks Rcpilotacro and Kalyan. Since these participants had absolutely no idea about AD or Aeromodelling, I had to dose it down liberally. If we have advanced workshops for these participants, we'll have to get deeper into the theory of flight.
