Prateek,
i suppose the BITS guys may be of some help to conduct this meet,
my conversation with one of their representatives some days back.
(convo starts from below)

No problem. We actually have an aerodynamics club here on campus which conducts such events, and is filled with aeromodelling enthusiasts.
btw, what do you do? A rig project sounds interesting. :)

#5
exams got over yesterday(i am posting this at 12.20 in the night :giggle:)
so coming back to the point, what i think is that nagalli hills undeveloped ground are good as they also have unused roads which are fine for take offs and landings!
i will maybe making a different place in the same area for rc cars (if any come :giggle:)like a track or smth. and a helipad for all the helis and some space of keeping your stuff and parking etc.
i will try to talk with some people whom i know to find some good big place in Verna if possible.

I have flown at the football field off the road leading from Ribunder jetty, as well as from the field opposite this. Not suitable for planes over 120 size though.

Nagalli hills are indeed the best place for RC flying guys.
To be more to the point, also try out the field between Taliegao and St. Cruz.
That land is not used for a long time and its like almost 2sq. km of open fields, and Prateek, when you talk about Nagalli, are you talking about the open place near the cross roads leading to GU and Odxell ??

Best thing to do is go to Altinho and look below for open places, that way you guys can get a better view of the whole area!
Maaan ;D can't wait for December!!

There are 2 Ribandar jetties, one near Patto and the other a little further, if you are referring to the Patto jetty then, a little before the jetty are the famous Patto salt pans and are good and open. If you are referring to the other jetty, then there are 2 grounds, one is already developed and villas have been built and the second one is still empty, mostly kept for cricket tournaments. And I still don't get which ground you talking about. You should have just crossed that 15 minute ferry from Ribandar to Chonna, you would get the best open place to fly in Goa.

Prateek, did you mean a storage place at site? or just somewhere close at someones house?
I stay in Taliegao..
