Following the huge success of the Aeromodelling camp sponsored by the Regional Science Centre at Guwahati, we have scheduled the second camp (on the same lines) from 27th to 29th Dec 2010. The major difference here is that the participants will get a first hand experience of flying a RC Heli and a RC plane. Robust 3 and 4 Channel RC models (which can sustain crashes) have already been sourced.

This will be followed by a Pneumatic Rocketry workshop on 20th to 22nd Jan 2011. To understand "Pneumatic Rocketry", do a google on "Stomp Rockets".

Single stage Water Rocketry camp scheduled for 18th to 20th Feb 2011

Two Stage Water Rocketry Camp scheduled for 17th to 19th March 2011 to coincide with Holi. We may use colored water in the Rockets.  :giggle:

Wish us luck!

Hello VC sir!,I enjoyed the last aeromodelling club immensely. However,I couldn't interact as much with you as I wished,I still have many queries left- :headscratch:especially about the price 6-channel RC transmitter you mentioned about, the Styrofoam pieces, the rubber motor(what type of rubber it is) and its winder(one can maybe use it in the landing gear mechanism),and the connections between the receiver and the servos(I didn't get to see them properly).Hope your RC accessories shop comes up soon.... And yes,
I also have a query for Musafir sir- How do symmetrical airfoils fly?,its against the laws of physics! :banghead:
I look forward to getting the answers to my queries soon in the next aeromodelling camp.see you soon
