Gusty's Hangar and Introduction.

A Great pilot will practice until he can't get it wrong.

I was just wondering if by any chance you would be here around the time. Would have liked you as the Chief Guest to give away the prizes and maybe fly some of my models.

How about creating a small booklet on RC Plane design and basic theory? And also Gusty ji's idea is brilliant,he is one of the best people to give lectures on theory of aircraft as a whole !! :d

Pity Gusty, can't think of a worthier CG for the function other than You or Sandy. No point in asking the good Lt. Col. as he is busy getting Turban charged and has probably forgotten the North East. >:( The others that I can think of are all beyond reach.

On a lighter note, I plan to introduce the kids to a delightful chuck glider  designed by Frank Zaic's Jetco "Thermic 18" balsa glider. I downloaded the plans and built one from scratch in 30 mins. It flies like a dream before trimming. Probably the best chuckie that I have ever built in my life. Saikat could  build a masterpiece out of the plans available here, unless he has already done so:

The picture is from www.outerzone.co.uk, mine looks similar. Wings, tailplane and vertical stab are modelled out of 2mm balsa. 2mm CF rod reinforcement on the fore fuselage, fuselage is in 2 parts from scrap simul dowels (6mm square).Too lazy to photograph and upload my model now. May do it tomorrow.

For reference, the metal scale in the foreground measures 6 inches.

Faintly reminiscent of IHC's Yellow Bird

Keep up the good work and spread the good word  :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

@vc sir,
That website is very attractive.
Building it yourself or hired a pro?

VC

Aam aadmi Sir - aapna haath Jagannath. Thank you.

Rai Saheb, I'm one of the few lucky ones to have an original Yellow Bird stashed away. It has the dethermaliser parts intact. Hope to build it someday. There are many copies of that classic model, however, it was a polyhedral (Unless I am mistaken) and the Thermic is a simple dihedral.

Now building the Keil Kraft Flicka glider.
