A local team won a special mention at this event. Search for "Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College of Engineering ". Read this in the paper here and searched for "SAE Aero Design". At least in the newspaper, their plane looked like a flying wing.

AMA members win at SAE AERO USA(2011),their message is appended below:

Yes we did win the prize,

we got the first place for lifting the highest payload of 5.4 pouds in the microclass

and secured second place in operational availability.

Overall we stood 5th place overall in the event.

The ama card really helped us , they did accept and let me fly there ,
