2.4 Ghz radios will not be allowed ON during regular hours.

I think the guys organising the event needs to understand what is been done every where else in the world regarding 2.4ghz before making the rules.

Actually I think they are just being cautious.  If you read this carefully, they did not ban 2.4Ghz (or did I read it incorrectly?).

All they said is that no one should turn on their 2.4Ghz radios while others are competing, even though technically they could without affecting anything.  I think the organizers want to avoid any conflict/claim from non-2.4Ghz racers about interference from 2.4Ghz units that are on (even though that is a far-fetched notion).

There is going to be a huge number of AM/FM users since most users are RTR. Would be interesting to see how the frequency issue is going to be handled.

We use 2.4ghz here in racing here, and the reason its costly and so famous is that its glitch and interference proof.
Its impossible to interfere with other fm/am drivers as every time you switch a 2.4ghz on, it find a frequency that's not been used by anyone.
Organizer should allow 2.4ghz radio.

Even though, its a great event, and if it was in anytime in jan-april I would have loved to come all the way for it, but I won't be able to make it as im coming to India on 28th.
All the very best with this events guys.

Oh my God... you just opened up the most controversial topic on this forum, again  :giggle:  Never say ANYTHING is glitch and interference proof, just say "X is more resilient than Y". People skills, you know  ;D

If you are wondering why I said this, search for 2.4Ghz in some of the older threads here. Some people are absolutely convinced that as of today, 2.4Ghz is much more glitchier than FM ones.

PS: We do not want to hijack this thread, so if we going to discuss the pros/cons of 2.4Ghz, let us do it in one of the 2.4Ghz threads, or start a new one :)

Ajo,

Can you ask them to be more clearer on this one part of the rules says they will supply fuel and then then also mention not more than 25% nitro ????. Also hope the fuel is free of cost for both the days.

I clarified on the fuel query. Fuel will not be supplied. Own fuel upto 30% nitro can be used. Sorry for the error.

Regarding the 2.4GHz Radios, it will be allowed. Only restriction is that they will not be allowed to be used when other category races are running to avoid participants from practicing and setting up the cars. One hour setup time for each category will be allowed as per schedule.

Straight line speed is good. I wasnt pushing hard, because my main focus was to keep the car on the track and complete the 20 mins of race. I am still on a " L " board in terms of driving the car. I broke the shocks after a hit with another car and few jumps.

Even if I drove better, I still wouldnt stand a chance against a well setup Losi 8T. Moiz bhai's driving was just too awesome. Have a long way to go before I catch up any where near.

I will try to compile a report shortly which I am planning to send some international forums. Will post it soon.
