HOBBYISTS, ENGINEERS, SCIENCE STUDENTS !  GOOD NEWS !

A great platform to show your talent!!!

Aerospace Engineering Department, IIT Bombay, gives you an opportunity to showcase your skills & hobbies in designing working miniature models of aircrafts.

There will be a one-day meet during last week of June 2010 where you can show off your skills.

Problems posed will be:

                        1) Fly 100mm or less powered model aircraft carrying 10 grams of weight.
                        2) Fly 10 mm or less unpowered aircraft.


More details regarding the meet and the problem statement will be available on www.casde.iitb.ac.in , in a day or two. Please be on the look out.

we are not providing any accommodation facility and travel assistance.

hi and thanks bhavya just a doubt 100mm is the size of the fuse or wingspan

need to know the wingspan limit thanks a lot

Hello,

100mm is the total size...the size should not increase more than 100 mm.

hi i did not understand by total size you mean

100mm winspan

and

100mm fuselage length

also it has to radio controlled for the powered category

i guess he means that the plane should be within the limits of 100x100x100 mm...ie it should fit within a box of that dimension.

yes got it  ;D

and even finished glide testing our possible new design (i am in a team with sandeep uncle)

it was so small smaller than most pens and it glided superbly we also have all the electronics we need so just a matter of time to put it together

Is anyone from rci going for this event. Since my house is like 15 mins from IIT i will most probably be there either competing or just watching..will try to get the event on cam.

It can be a powered plane with no radio control also ie powered free flight mav.
