Hi all,
We had a wonderful air show at Rail Gaon, Allahabad, being inaugrated by the G.M. of north central railways as chief guest.
Around 15 Planes performed there, including 2 Helicopters, being flown by 3 Pilots.
The show started by a solute to our Chief guest by the Tiger Moth, ended by a dogfight between the three pilots, flying their best models.

So, here are the pics,

As Amir already posted here, the air show was a great success. There were 3 filers, Gaurav Bansal, Amir and myself. The planes we had were :
Javellin - 90 powered by Saito 120 FS
Piper 40 - powered by OS 70 FS
Tiger 40 - TT .46
Mini Titan electric Heli
Raptor 50 Heli
PT-40 High wing trainer
Tiger Moth - electric
Mustang - electric
Decathlon - electric
Phoenix Funstar - .50 ASP

We reached the field at 6:30 AM and had around 50 guests, all senior staff of North Central Railways(NCR). The chief guest was the GM. Mr Joshi.
The airshow started with Gaurav's electric Tiger moth doing a slow fly by. Followed by my Tiger Sport 40 doing aerobatics.
Though the field was quite big enough, since it was essentially a cricket ground, there was aboundary wall running all around the field.
That made landings for big airplanes a little tricky, as it left no room for error.
If you approached too low, you risked the poles/trees on one end, and if too high then the boundary wall on the other side could become a  threat. But that was not enough to deter us.

I flew my Javellin , and the helis. mini Titan and Raptor. The guests left by 9 oclock following which we had some refreshments and did our fun flys. Well then i had an un-nerving experience. Though i have my helis and new airplanes all on 2.4Ghz, a few of my old planes, including the Piper they are on 72Mhz FM.
Now, to fly the Piper, i switched the module on my Tx, and took off. Just after taking off, I lost all control !!!
The plane was at around 100 ft high, and turned towards me !! Luckily i regained control, and cut the engine and landed.
That was scary. And guess what happened ? I forgot to extend the antenna on my TX !!! That was a bummer. I had nearly lost my "plan-built" piper due to a silly mistake !

We packed up everything at around 11 AM and came back with one of the best flying experiences in recent months.

Nice way to poularise the hobby. I am sure 80% of the spectators would have never seen a real model fly.
The Tiger Moth (I am loath to call it a Tiger Moth) looks like a GWS faomy Tiger Moth, isn't it?

Yes no one present had seen an aeromodel before, however I was surprised to know that one officer there was quite an aviation enthusiast. He had flown on a Piper Cub, and also had any many other experiences to share.

Yes that Tiger Moth is a GWS foamy. Amir had learnt flying on this and thrown it away and Mr. Bansal took the challenge of restoring it. He has done an amazing work, though the colors are way different from what they should be :) Over all it looks great though.

The only thing I missed was having someone take some good photographs/video. Next flying meet we need to depute someone for this important task as well !

Here's a video of me flying the Raptor 50 and Amir flying his glider.

More to come soon.

here is another video of me flying my mini Titan.
Commentary has been done by our fellow aero-modeller - Gaurav Bansal.
In this video Amir has done a hand launch of his .46 size glow airplane. Something i would never think of doing myself. Was applauded by all since it went well ! :)
Enjoy !

One more video.. This one is of landing my 2 airplanes. The approach for the Javellin got cut off, as my cousin who was taking the video got distracted :) Nevertheless here is what was captured.

The crowd enthusiasm is obvious from the applause seen in various videos
