Hello!! flight classes are conducted for super beginners(new to this hobby)!!!main goal is to make this hobby wide reachable and help others!!
classes will be conducted in bangalore and timings will be decided on various factors!!
main areas focused on are-

1- sim training for a day or 2 if required, basic aerodynamics will be thought.

2- hand launch technique,orientation,landing approach,flying gliders and belly landing(plane-skysurfer v3 from rcbazaar,com) at hoskote.

3- after successful belly landing, flying a good begineer plane(with landing gear) and landing(plane-blazer from rcbazaar.com) at hoskote.

4- after succesful landings and being tired of foam plane, flying the gee bee electric(fiberglass and balsa) from rcbazaar.com.

5- working with flight controller(apm 2.6) and flying sky surfer v3 in stabilize mode and autopilot (practising for fpv)(4,5 in one day).

6- setting up and flying fpv with parrot fpv plane from rcbazaar.com(2mtr wing span) (note- for fpv, fpv goggles are used and not video display screen.)
    flying in autopilot, stabilize mode. fpv distance of 2kms. at hoskote.

7- this is purely optional and decision by the group. flying a edf jet if agreed that the candidate will be able to manage a speed of over 60kmph minimum.

8- added this in the last minute- will be thought to toe a glider using a good plane and landing it safely(without motor).

and the charges are just Rs.1500/- per candidate and minimum 5 in a group. all the accessories will be provided. getting your own batteries (extra), will be appreciated(for extra flight time.). batteries for normal flight of 20mins will be provided.

flight time per person is 20mins per day. could go up if extra battery is brought by the candidate. snacks will be provided.

classes will be conducted on sundays for more convenience. schedule, timings are flexible.

classes start from first or second week of October 2014. there will be a briefing one week before at lalbagh, bangalore.

suggestions will be appreciated. and beginners dont worry about crashes , breaking.

and the main advantage is that it is not just take and fly but setting up flight controller, fpv and all basics will be thought.

one of the main advantage is that after this course candidate can go for any plane without the fear of breaking it.

one word from me- i always consider myself a beginner , as this hobby has so much to teach , even with the experience i have or will have.

I'm subhash JK from bangalore and im doing my graduation and i have 5 years experience in this hobby, before which i used to work on arduino and robotics, my main interests are edf jets and fpv planes. i'm currently working on a gyrocopter. i scratch build most of my planes and cant be a active member due to my studies but wanted to be active in this hobby. and no need for the sir im just 18!!

Wow, excellent news to hear!!! Brilliant initiative for promoting the hobby. I'm sure this is going to attract a lot of new comers.

Hi, JK, Great , and wish you the best, I pray that you fulfil this great Hobby to every enthusiasts in India,  as our corrupt politicians have not allowed in the past, but hope we do find similar minds like you, else where in India,  reaching out, helping them, we must share,  with all, exchange skills,  ideas , so that we can make these instruments here in India,  Our customs department are not good, we pay hugh money for little,  but through people like you can bring smiles on many faces, please see your studies too, as we all need to know better

UPDATE- was in talks with Mr.Manoj from chennai to take it forward in Chennai. and the good news is from next month classes will be starting at chennai.
