Greetings from Technology Robotix Society, IIT Kharagpur! It's been almost a year since the curtains fell on ROBOTIX 2015, our annual technological extravaganza. But our yearning for competition, exhilaration and excitement has not diminished one bit. And, as winter comes once again, so does the tremendous anticipation for ROBOTIX 2016. We are back, bigger and better than ever before, with yet another innovative and challenging set of problem statements to test our most worthy participants.
As always, our manual, autonomous and computer vision events will cater to every kind of robotics enthusiast. A glimpse of our events this year:

Manual Robotics Event:

Event Name - Summit:

Problem Statement:  Build a manually controlled robot capable of climbing stairs whilst picking, storing and placing objects on its way.

Event Name - DroidBlitz:



Problem Statement: To build a remote controlled electric-powered robot that can be used to complete broken pathways and transfer packages by running on land as well as water.

Autonomous Robotics Events:

Event Name - Sherlock:

Problem Statement: Build an autonomous robot that can follow compass headings to go from start to finish via minimum waypoints using IR receiver to receive arena and waypoint information.

Event Name - Warehouse:

Problem Statement: Build a gesture controlled semi-autonomous robot that is capable of storing blocks on multi-layered platforms according to their RFID tags.

Computer Vision Event:

Event Name - S.H.E.L.D.O.N.:

Problem Statement: Build an Image Processing robot capable of detecting characters, using an overhead camera and traversing them such that the equation generated by the traversal fulfills a certain condition.
