IIT Guwahati had requested me for an Air Show

Had a great day on Sunday with Pravesh and Param on the RC Show for the students of IIT Guwahati. Dearly Missed VC and his fabulous boats on the day.

With his boats in the lake and the quad following over it and RC planes making aerobatics above would have been the spectacle of the season. However we missed VC as he was down due to his health.

The crowd went all cheers for Param's flying and were spell bound with the acrobatics, flips and roll of Pravesh's quad. Special thanks to Pravesh for Joining me and giving me company for flying.

Spl Thanks to the Army AD guys who had come to the exhibition with their glow trainer model for Static display and in the spur of the moment got excited seeing the show and joined us in the flying.

All RC planes did fantastic routines over in the air. I believe photographers had a tough time getting all in frame :P. Pravesh Quad and mine flying are notably missing from the coverage.  :giggle:

So thanks for watching.

After the show was over Pravesh had a blast at peace all alone with his Quad on FPV over the lake and has taken some wonderful footage of the lake and Techniche complex.

Would request him to post the same please.

Nice :D  Looks like a good time had

One of my contemporaries, Gautam Baruah, is now the Director of IIT Guwahati. Was a couple of years senior to me in IIT Bombay. Wonderful person...brilliant at studies, champion at sports, and 'cool' and unassuming.

She was a girl gusty :). But she did not turn up on the last day  ???. Someone else came on the last day to coordinate.  ;)

One of my colleague's son was also part of students organising committee. pleasant surprise for me to meet him there. He was Param's one of best friends here in shillong in his gaming circle.  Param is thoroughly motivated now after seeing the college not for all the right reasons though. After seeing his friends fancy motorbike, he is in all awe that they let you keep such bike in this college and he can go out any time from college. God save me  :giggle:

@ Sanjay Rai. Yes sir it was a great time we had.

gauravag

Sounds like it was an event I missed !! I am sure you all had a great time and the students/spectators enjoyed and would remember it.

Special pat on the back to Param.. keep it up. !!!

Yes Gaurav I missed you and gusty very much. Combination aeros with Gusty on fighters was missed too. Such events with more experienced fliers for an audience is always a pleasure.

Param is getting confident with his flying. More than him I am getting more confident with his flying and not always worried like I used to be.

Congrats Sandy and Pravesh. After all the effort that I had put in to get the water craft ready, it is just my luck that I had to miss out. Great job done! Hope I can join and contribute in future. Please forgive my indisposition.
