Dear Fellow Aero-Modelers,

I had promised VC that on the way to Tawang on my Official Visit, I will take three days leave and stay with him in Tezpur to help him ( I am sure VC requires very less of it) with Simulators and RC Flying. However last min bolt from the blue

As part of Air Force Day Celebrations, there will be a RC Meet at Shillong.
Venue :- Ground Next to Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium
Date :- 02 Oct 2011

I have been officially requested to Organize the show along with Gusty, since we are the only two RC guys here in Shillong. Now because of the official request from the top man himself, My official visit is cancelled and even my leave is also cancelled. I am in a fix and stuck badly, feeling very bad for VC.

I have tried requesting Flight Lieutenant Sravan from Tezpur another Pilot and aeromodeller from Tezpur to Help VC, but unfortunately he is also operationally committed with his real birds in Kolkata till First Week October.

I am unable to find any solutions for VC.

This is a Humble request from my side to all forum members. Any one in a position to Help VC with some amount of simulator training and flying his models Please help him else he might even have to cancel his complete camp.

Regards

Sandy

A Good pilot will practice until he gets it right,
A Great pilot will practice until he can't get it wrong.

Thanks Very much Gusty.

Sravan is such a swell guy he was such a helping hand in our show too here in shillong which is something which I will surely miss eternally. Thanks Sravan.

Congrats to you VC heard the show went off well. Expecting good photos and pictures.

Spread out over 95 Hectares, Assam Valley School is a sylvan paradise. Beautifully maintained by the authorities, this school can give its European counterparts a run for their money. I reached there on 7th Sept 2011 and the workshop commenced the next day. First up - the students of classes 3 - 5 who made origami paper planes and then flew Balsa Spitfires.

First some boring theory classes and then on to the beautiful pavilion for the practical workshops!

For the record, 658 participants took part in this Aeromodelling Camp which was spread out over 22 days. This, probably, makes it the largest Aeromodelling camp organised anywhere, ever, in South East Asia. Anyone care to clarify?

For the students of Class 6 the Cadet Glider was a challenge that they overcame with flying colours. In spite of having to use CA for the first time in their lives!

Be Inquisitive

VC

Thanks!

Some of the children displayed an indomitable spirit. Even broken hands and asthmatic difficulties could not deter them.

Getting the dihedral just right was a BIG challenge.

On 17th and 18th Sept, I spent some time with Saikat at his palace at Dufflagarh T.E. Wonderful experience and very warm hospitality.

Here are some of Saikat's scratchbuilt beauties. He is a classic aeromodeller. One of the last few left.
