really good.. no wonder RC hobby will remain only for the classes and not for the masses.

This is just a sample of the high-end  :)

Should not prevent anyone from doing a simple one without international participation etc.

With hardly any flying experience I would surely like to witness the Grand Event as visitor. The visitor fee seems okay. Just the acco goes beyond my budget (its like buying a mid range ARF every day). Ready to be some one's driver  :help: (:|~ and get back to boarding days dorms!!

Well you need not stay at Aamby valley. You can stay at Cloud Nine : http://cloud9lonavala.com/ Or other nearby places.
Even at Aamby valley you can stay at the annexe for 1000 bucks a night.

Anyone here on this forum has any plans to attend ? Sai ? Anwar ? Shahs ?

I am really keen to and it might be a good place to meet and know people.

Anyone who is going to attend this, please provide a report here, preferably with some pictures. I would have loved to attend, except for some family event holding me back :(

Hopefully, the event is being held every year now, so taking a rain-check for next year.

It was a great event with a lot of class around the place and a hell of a lot of great flying. Klous as in a class of his own, but what about the other Heli flyer, Harveer, flying the Raptor 50. He matched Klous move for move. He was the the best of the indian lot present there. If only guys like him get some support from the aeromodelling community, Indians can go places.
Another thing that troubled me was that the beginers were pitted against the experts. 50 cc petrol engines and 46 glow engines were in the same class. Extra 300 and a high wing trainer were fighing for the same glory. That is somehow not too fair.
Will post some photos tomorrow.
Woud like to hear what other people have to say for this.
Tiger Sports 40, SPA3D, SPAD Extra all with ASP 52 engines.
SPAD Debonair with OS 46
Turbo Raven 60 with an ASP 91
Next build - Accipiter 91 with DLE 20
Futaba 6EXAP, Futaba 10 CAP

I hope some one posts videos of both the heli flights (Klaus and Harveer) !

I guess arranging such a meet itself is a huge feat, so making tons of categories would make it even more expensive (prizes etc).  Agreed that it would have made more sense, but those must be driven by practical difficulties !
