Hey guys, thought I'd post this here. I conducted a workshop on aeromodelling during the annual tech-fest held at my college (Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology). The workshop was conducted in three parts: First a brief lecture on areodynamics was given to the students explaining them about the various forces that act upon an airplane and influence flight characteristics then various types of airplanes and areo model construction techniques were explained giving examples and finally students were given their own chuck glider kits and were taught how to assemble and fly them. We also had a small indoor flying session as part of a live demonstration. The workshop was conducted in the auditorium of our college...managed to get a few pics (I guess the guy taking pictures was a little too busy listening to what I had to say and completely forgot about the pictures.... :giggle:) I thought I'd take this initiative to inspire the young generation to take up areomodelling as a hobby or even inspire them to make a career in the field of aeronautics...... The response was amazing, even the principal of our college appreciated the effort..everybody was amazed to see the various models on display ( both r/c and free flight).....They already want me to conduct another one !! I hope my work will bring about awareness of the existence of this hobby as most of the students dint know that radio controlled flying model airplanes even existed!! :o Here are a few pictures from the event.....

Angad
