Hi Guys,

I had my paintball equipment seized at Nhavha Shiva port for over 16 months.
Reason being that, these were real guns. We were made to dance to the tunes of the DC.
Who just would not budge. The police clearly stated that, they did not have any authority over the goods, as the goods did not
confirm to the arms act. We were then sent to the Forensics, Forensics report also turned out to be negative.
The DC still did not budge, and had the samples in his office.

Now the DC has been transferred, and a next DC has taken over, it took them 2 months to just find the file.
After finding the file, now it has come to notice that one of the paintball guns is missing from the DC's office.

Demourage has already reached 1.5 Lacs

Please advice, what steps should be taken, any help would be appreciated.

when your equipment was seized - did you get a receipt ??

does this not come under customs and central excise ?

there is no shortcut to this ... my suggestion is

1 contact a clearing agent - there are bound to be many in the port area.
2. speak to a lawyer - who deals with customs cases.
