Guys!
Yesterday I got a good deal from one of my Kuwaiti friends, He gave me a esky heli barebone kit with a brushless motor, and lots of spares + one extra blade and a 64mm EDF fan with a brushless motor.
All this for 3200 INR ;D

I have a small problem, and I tried sourcing for an answer on this forum,
The motor is a purple colored one, I assume anodized! with a heat sink ( I will post pictures of everything later)
but there is no sticker or anything on it.
Can anyone help me in finding the KV or the wattage of this type of motor?
I know, you guys need a picture so you can see what type it is and comment accordingly, sadly, I am at work now and cannot post pictures!
Hence! later.

But in the mean time if anyone can point me to the right source or ideas to check the KV without using a tacho, please let me know.

I have a Voltage/Current meter and a multimeter.

It is a Brushless 3800 Kv motor if you got the barebones of a belt cp and it will be Brushless 3900 kv if you got any other kit

Thanks

Thanks hellflyer, but I am talking about the brushless motor on the EDF I received! I will post some pictures soon!

If you can measure the rpm (tach), you can just divide it with the battery volts to get a close approximation for the KV rating.

I don't think its possible without a tacho.. Bring it along when u come home.. I have volt meter and my friend has a tacho :)

Thanks Anwar,
Tomorrow I will be going along with another engineer to a company who do all the NDT testing for us.
Will be checking the rpm then.

About the pictures I had mentioned earlier, I will post them below.
In the meantime this is what I have got for 3200 rupees:

1 pair main gear
2 pairs controlling shaft sets
1 pair bell control arm set
1 pair plastic paddles
4 brushless motor gears 10T
and for the heli kit.

I got the legendary Belt CP - Esky's best 450 sized heli.
Everything is good with a 450 brushless motor.
The reason why he sold it to me was because he is a gasser guy now and did not need it and it was lying at his place for a long time.
The tail boom is dented in 2 places and the tail gear has a crack. But I will not need the tail gear assembly as I am going the seperate tail motor gear way, boomless heli.
Will post pictures of the CH 53 in a months time as I am too busy with work.

As for the EDF fan and motor.
He gave me a 64mm EDF unit along with a nameless motor, I am posting the pictures here.
The last one is the Nameless motor..

Hi Control Flyer,
This looks like a similar motor that I am using for my project.

This was a motor that came with an EDF that Ashish has.
Brushless 2025 14L inrunner and 4000Kv.
