advantage of metal gear servo?

Folks,
Just a query. For the same torque, is there an advantage in using metal gear servos over plastic ones? Beyond the stall torque, both would fail while below it both should work right? So why use one over other?

under some load no the servo arms... the plastic gears give up and become bald. :bow:

where as in a metal ones the gears dont give up so easily and retain the gears for some load

thus givin you a chance to keep the control in case the servo is overloded in any point of time in flight..
(this happens specially when you are recovering from a dive, first half of the loop, high winds and coming headwind etc) :salute: :salute:
