I am planning to build a 1/14th scale Atlas Boat. I got a plan  of the same from RCuniverse.Need help in converting these plans into tiled one's. Does anybody know how it is done.

Aren't we living in a small world ?

I went looking for how people normally covert smaller PDFs to tiled plans (although I had couple of ideas in my mind), and ended up on this page as the first search result.

Seems like the paid version of Acrobat (or whatever it is called these days) does it.

for the benefits of other i will surely show how i did this

Software required Adobe PDF Professional installed in the system.
1. Open the file you wish to tile.
2. Goto File Menu and then to Print.
3. Select printer - Adobe PDF.
4. Goto Page handling column  and then select Page Scaling to tile all pages.
5. Print the file to pdf.
Note: Select tile scale to 100% and overlapping to 0. and remember to select the right paper size from properties tab near the printer name.

And all is done...Anwar sir just insert the attached image, as i don't know to insert

Thanks for helping people out Mr Singh! Well its good practice that you 'crop' such screen shot when you post for privacy purpose. From your SS I can see that

1. You took the SS(Screen shot) after you opened the RCI 'reply to post page'
2. You were looking at Hobby King's Postage Table (so postman visiting soon haan?)
3. Converting USD to Rs /Adding the item price + shipping (may be worn out maths, like me )
4. Just installed some new software (Adobe Acrobat (sans 'Reader') ?)
5. Using my previous company's 'discontinued' OS
6. Using my current company's Anti Virus.

Just my 2Cents on online privacy ...

Hi Shreekant,

Try using tiling scale to reduce or enlarge the drawing.

Comments from more experienced builders recommended.

This is surely a good tool...The watermarks are ok as long as all the lines appear clear. tried the same plan that VK singh helped me with.. It comes out the same. good for all the scratch builders.

why not use ms excel ?

just copy and paste as a picture or insert picture
into a blank worksheet

you can resize and tile as well

"Adobe Professional with Writer" ver 8 /9 is a good software to make tiled images out of bigger image. But it has got its limitation only reduce / enlarge the page layout. Pasting in excel is good idea but there won't be any registration marks so as to join individual printouts.

how can i make it 39 or 41 inch wing span , or scale up the pdf plan .

Well there are two ways - a) get hold of Adobe Acrobat (full version) and then while printing give the percentage you wish to enlarge or shrink the original document. or (b) note the basic dimensions and then draw it manually after doing the math.

i used trial version of PDFresize from neeviapdf.com!!! try it out it will help!!! it will put its watermark, but will solve ur trouble!!!

suppose 100% view of a plan gives A2 sized paper print out; if we enlarge it again,is it enough?

Just did download and install, pretty good. Now I just need to find a paper source that can handle a 90" x 54" paper

no need!!!!!

u can convert it to tile on A4 page and then stick it together to make big plane!!!

A simple method if you have access of OHP.

Just print complete plan on single OHP (A4) by laserjet. put the OHP image on drawing board, draw points & finish with scale & french curves. Position lens & Board distance and you will get it.

If you use foxit reader (freeware), you get scaling with preview. I use foxit, for last 3 years and found faster and better performance. Tabbed reading with more books as referances and opening from lase position are added advantage. Scripted PDFs are opened better than adobe
