It's a 50/50 chance. It could get caught, it may go through. You'll just have to wait and see.

If your package is registered, it will say on tracking if the package has been seized at customs if that happens. If it's not registered you will need to wait until the customs office contacts you.

I personally got my RTF quad after a month without any customs problem. It was unregistered so I wasn't able to track it.

Nowadays the customs are very strict specially on RC items ... (Don`t know why ) some of my friends  Gimba,l Dji and quad frame are also seize without any notification for custom fee etc. If customs ask for fee then i think we are all willing to pay it for the love of our hobby. Kolkota Customs specially are hungry for RC parts !!!

But there is no notification which states that quad parts can be seized. So what is the basis for seizing frames and gimbals?. By the way, what do the tracking info display in such cases? Does it mention that customs has seized?

Multi rotors are banned in India so they will seize RTF quads most of the time. Things like frames, motors, gimbals usually go through without any problems. Most radio equipment is also seized as it is also not allowed.

Tracking says "retention at customs" or something like that. Check out the customs help megathread where people have post their tracking info which shows that it was seized at customs.

I'd check it. Recently I got a Xiaomi Yi camera. At one point it was written :    Custom Retention Reason: Awaiting presentation to customs commissioner. So I guess, its the reason that is important.

Another shipment with gimbal and quad frame is waiting with the same tracking info.

Yes...it takes 2-3 days to arrive. After that it takes a lot of time.

Since you have already ordered it so nothing can be done at this point. But normally you shouldn't order quadcopters and wireless equipments from abroad. Syma is available with some Indian sellers although the cost is more. From my experience I think you should order only those items which are not available in India and are "safe" items.

Probably Banggood will not declare it as quadcopter...only as a toy. But they have x-rays. Not all pkgs are subjected to x-rays. Only the heavy ones and big ones.

Keep an eye on the status updates. You need not contact them at this point. If they detain, they will send intimation through postman.

One quanum gimbal for my mobius camera, one 360mm quad frame, a few screws (just because the shipping charge was the same upto 1 Kg.) etc. Total cost $77. They did not underdeclare the value. Does not appear that customs charged any duty either.
