hello everyone !
Just i was planning to add flaps to my trainer
because as name specifies it is much faster than what i thought ! even at 20% throttle it flies at cruise speed so i thought of adding flaps ,let me know your opinions!
To increase thrust you need more  money! But to reduce weight you  need nothing!

Isn't that something you can fix by properly adjusting the idle speed (low needle) AND/OR end-point settings for low throttle position ?

Prop selection is another thing that can help.

i did some adjustments but useless ! if i move further the engine will quit  :banghead:! the airfoil is semi symmetrical (CLARK Y) thickness is very less !and plane is also lighter as well ,aerodynamically excellent and i asked my friend who is a Pilot, he asked me "how much flaps you are using at the final" than i said there is no flaps ,and he told me why can't you add one! ;)
coming to propeller that im using is 9x6 it good enough and starting size for that engine
ohh ! forgot to mention i fly in a conggested area and i need to land within 30 to 40 feet thats why i was planning for flaps!

Usually any engine will support a few different props. So you should still have some room for experimentation with a prop of lower pitch.

What engine are you using ?

Of course adding flaps is cool    Or you can dead-stick it every time you land  :giggle:

It is not clear from the picture/video if this is an plane with ailerons and separate servos driving them.  If you have such a setup, then just enable flaperons and you are done !

no,actually i had strip ailerons with single servo! now i have added flaps giving seperate servo for each ailerons and single servo for flaps and made strip ailerons to scale ! you are  right its cool and belive it or not now with full flaps it flies like slow flyer(GWS) and landing its cool it looks like real aircraft landing smooth and very smooth !
ill take some pictures and video and ill post.  ;D ;D ;D
