Another legend passes away

Just happened to read this

"Vic Smeed died yesterday (That would be Jan 3rd, 2011) after 3 weeks in hospital. Heart apparently. He would be about 84 I think.

Vic was a major influence in aeromodelling in England."

For people at this forum, if you know what a Tomboy is (in aeromodelling silly :banghead:) you would probably know who Vic Smeed was.

We grew up reading about Vic Smeed and devoured his articles in the second hand books scrounged from the flea book stores on Free School Street, Calcutta. Truly a legend. R.I.P.
