I hope there will be. After DGCA formulates the policy, I think more people will come into this hobby. Members with FPV racing quads can post their sleek videos (need good editing skills too). Such videos will give a boost to the sport. In the US drone nationals I saw people of Indian origin participating.

I think LHSs have a role here. They should team up together and conduct workshops in schools and colleges in different cities. Let the students experience FPV first hand and I'm sure lots of people would be interested.

There's more. The World's first Drone Entertainment Show will be held in the Netherlands shortly. Its called AIR2015 (http://air2015.nl/). About 100 drones will participate in the show.

Amsterdam-based event company Fjuze recently launched a trailer for the event. It's a thumping preview, full of Tron-like lights and computer-generated drones doing aerial stunts to a soundtrack that could have come from any blockbuster science fiction thriller. See it for yourselves. The possibilities are unlimited :)

We have so many multirotor users here. Can't we organize a racing event?

Darshan for multirotors

I agree swapnil sir...
We will plan out something
We can gather a group of racers and organize an event ..
Let's see (I hope the new DGCA rules are a bit kind to us about this)

I so agree!!

I know this is my first post in this forum, but I kinda fell in love with Racing Drones after seeing this guy fly it.

Anyways, do people have any FPV250 racing builds in this forum?

We provide solutions to event agencies, have pitched idea of 250 racing (sponsorship as we will need trackers and sensors etc and pay for venue to track who was first and good judges among other things) to few event agencies, some have shown interest, was depending on this forum to find out people for event if it comes thro'. But i too wonder if there are enough fpv racing pilots here in our country, can we take a poll of how many 250 quad fpv pilots do we have with their self assesment of flying skills in broad ranges for eg. novice- learner, medium skills and very good skills. I for one fall in learner range :-)

Am following this http://dronenationals.com/rules/ as a benchmark.

I think we need to solve the DGCA  problem first .....

rajsachdev

Yes Darshan that needs to be addressed, but DGCA will drag on, we are already in a sense outlaws because we build and fly in our backyard or some far off grounds (outside India parking lots seem to be a favourite) wether DGCA permits or not, some fly responsibly and some irresponsibly.  I wonder wether DGCA will bother if it's an indoor venue, thats what we were planning. Some venues are large enough to fly indoors, i personally have done test/ hobby flights inside big venues meant for events etc.
Would appreciate thoughts and views from seniors of the forum who are more familiar, i am just 1.5 year old into this hobby so may be i have some facts wrong.

From where should I buy fpv combo at cheper rate

Chris B - MultiGP

Hello,
I have been trying to find the FPV Racing community in India for some time now.
Is this the best place to find them?

I would like to make a contribution to your local FPV Racing community.

I offer the assistance of MultiGP to help organize your local group's racing with free software.
It makes race management more automated, allowing a much smoother, better organised race.

Below is a video from the YouTube series; Flite Test. (A great show if you do not already watch it).
It shows a bit about the way MultiGP can help your local group.

Assistance can be offered as well, as an ad-free beginners page, designed around providing structured lessons on all beginner aspects, with live feedback.
The following page is free for open use: https://www.facebook.com/groups/droneracing/
