Starting this thread for all of you to share your funny moments on the field. i can recall this funniest one,

This one actually happened on the field , he was trying to launch the funjet himself , so like a bowler , took a runup and instead of chucking the funjet he chucked the radio, while still holding the half throttled funjet in his hand, imagine with 18 MZ, if he had done that :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:

Should have seen his expression on the face :banghead:

PS
Most of us couldn't continue flying, all of us landed back to have a hearty laughter (Actually to sip a beer too)

I had a funny moment when i was flying my Glidiator.
After a loop when i was flying it straight the motor flew of the plane! ;D :'(
it was so funny that i started laughing!
the motor just flew off like a missile from the plane, but the plane was flying straight and it kept doing that.

instead of chucking the funjet he chucked the radioead:
:giggle: I've also heard of such tales but never seen it happen, someday..

Here is the funniest that i've seen:
I was flying my easystar. A fellow flyer (Ali) also launched his easystar and we were both flying at almost the same height but very far apart. Now Ali gave his radio to his friend to land his plane. The transition was smooth and Ali's friend had the control now. After five minutes I see their plane diving from the sky, I started shouting "pull up – pull up" but the plane disappeared in the horizon. I shouted "what happened, whose plane was it", while bring my plane in for a quick landing. Three or four flyers surrounded me asking about what was happening I took a quick look at Ali and friend, and they seemed happy and enjoying their flight. For a moment I thought was it my plane that crashed. So I dived my plane a little and when flared for touch down I heard Ali telling his friend "give a slight left, yes now flayer". At the same time my plane landed in front of them, I walked a few step and picked it up. They were looking at me smiling; I told them that "this is my plane your plane crashed two minutes ago".  It took them some time to realize what had happened just now.
After some laughs we started a search party and the plane was found by me some 1.5 Km away. Later Ali's friend confessed that he was flying my plane all the time :giggle:

i have seen that happen, not to this extent, :giggle: what if you couldn't prove it was your easy ? :giggle:

AEROVISHWA

the most funniest things that happen with us is that we reach the field without the wings or the radio or the fuel (we only fly glow .25-.90).....

we have to travel 10-15 km to get to the field and then we realize that there are no wings...

another incident our sir was flying a control line and suddenly the engine flies off and the plane hits on its tail... the engine is found 40 mts away....

A fellow beginner called Bunty wanted an expert to test fly his "applebox"(glow) for him, and 1 of us was more than happy to do so.
Bunty did the honor of launching it himself, but instead of throwing it straight..he launched it straight up, almost!! :(
The plane climbed some 20 feet, stalled, banked left, made a U-turn and headed straight for the pilot & the crowd(other flyers) standing nearby ! All scramblled for their dear lives..some even threw themselves on the ground to escape getting hurt..still the plane managed to scrape a few... one of them even had his pants torn on the rear :giggle:  It happened in a matter of seconds!
After the dust settled, found the applebox in pieces but everybody had a great laugh over the whole incident.

All this happened behind my back as i was busy flying my plane at a safe distance.
But When i heard the commotion behind...i didnt know what to do...where to run..as
i had absolutely no clue where or who the "runaway" plane was heading for!! All i could do was pray :'(
After landing my plane with shivering hands, i came to know what had actually happened, just couldnt stop laughing.. but when i told everybody what i went through when all this was happening...everyone was rolling on the ground laughing
like mad !!

Hi Anirudh,

That's what exactly happened , except we were sitting in front of a car and samant would be the blonde haired guy..lol..

It was a scary experience. The blades tore his jeans and the back part of the car got scratched.

:giggle: :giggle:

One more funny thing happened some months back.

Samant was flying ani's easy star and there was one more chap who had got a new dx6i. He saw his dx6i in samant's hand , which he presumed was his and he snatched from samant's hand and said "Give me back my tx". Samant was like what the hell ? What are you doing am flying right now...lol..

hahaha..and then prady came and told him your dx6i is with me .. we were all so startled by his behavior fortunately easy * was too high in the sky..

mohan

Atul Bhai,

Once I was flying my walkera cb 180q rather close to the ground at our compound. A dog was running about on the street meanwhile; the sound must have caught his attention. He came frolicking onto our yard and towards the heli with great interest(eyes were focussed, body poised, tongue hanging out and dripping ) as if it's a bird that he would have for breakfast. I realised it could end up in trouble, gave the heli a bit of throttle, raised it in the air high enough so he couldn't grab it in a jump and then gave forward elevator and took the heli towards the dog. The dog jumped back scared, gave a whine and ran back with his tail and ears drooping down. I successfully had a debut of my heli as a bird of prey even for a while..

It was a hilarious sight to say the least  :giggle:
Awaiting the next tornado to fly my kites..

Welcome to label me "serious" , "old" or whatever but I really think that was NOT funny. Could have turned out ugly.
