Embarrassing to say the least. :giggle:

Was the motor on the Easy star providing more than 1300 gms of thrust?

:giggle: this was a collective idea. Actually we had tried dropping everything from the easystar. Paper planes, rocks, twigs, soft drink bottles. So we thought lets go ahead and follow our dreams  :giggle:

lol..Did you see krishna jump in the end..

This could have worked if you guys would have made some arrangement to throttle both the planes...:D

SunLikeStar

Man, there was no way this could have worked ;D I think my easystar has 800 grms thrust at max. Plus what about alignment of surfaces on the bottom plane :-\

The original video had people saying stuff like "this is stupid" "this cannot work" .. I edited out all that demotivating stuff :salute:

Happened yesterday, We landed our glider outside the fencing of the field. when we reached somewhere the model could be, to locate we opened power and i saw a lot of people running about, some running towards me yelling "Bomb Bomb" (It was over a small hillock) When i reached there, i see one petrified man holding a big boulder above his head about to smash the model and the other sort of yelling at him to stop (Probably saying stop you may end up bursting the bomb), all in Local Khasi lingo, some of them crawling an getting the hell outta there.. what a sight, i really did LMAO , ..later.

Anwar Bhai, very similar, this is a laid back town, by 1500 hrs people start winding up for the day (After opening their shops at 1200 h), these were about 15-20 guys drinking local wine and playing cards in secluded spot, imagine, something falling from the sky, i am surprised nobody had a heart attack. like SLS says, best sight was petrified man with a boulder and some of them crawling outta there. on second thoughts the aeroplane does look like a glide bomb, with a twin fin looking structure and all.

i asked my friend to chuck the xeno ( I was a little away), didn't notice, she chucked it tail forward (Pusher tractor confusion probably).  i fixed Xeno up and she flew after that though, should have seen the confusion on my face, initially i thought the prop is reversed :giggle: :giggle:

that's me fixing it,

i was flying Precision Aerobatics Bandit (Its second sortie) what realy took wind out of my sail was, one of the so called engineer, old timer was telling his friend while i was hovering the bandit, "I think there is something wrong with either the aeroplane or the pilot is not able to control the aeroplane, it is stuck , neither going up or coming down" i almost crashed of laughter and climbed from the hover, Final Verdict, "Aeroplane is ok, something wrong with the pilot, fella doesn't know how to fly"  :banghead:

I personally detest an aircraft model flying 3D. Its like a wannabe Heli. However in this case, I don't need to tell you exactly where, on the 'expert' (I don't want to be anatomically precise), the Bandit should have landed!
