Guys, Yesterday History was created in India, by Indians. Mr. Dosu Bhiwandiwala and his team, with the support of some great people from Mumbai, made history by making the first Carbon fiber, Jet. It was flown by the hugely tallented, Mr. Nandan Chandrawarkar. Congratulations to all who were involved in the project.

Here's what Dosu Uncle wrote on Youtube,

""IT IS NOT AN AEROPLANE UNTIL IT FLIES"
Well, now it's flown. Thus the all carbon fibre creation now qualifies. My gratitude to Nishant, without whose trust this could NEVER have been possible, to Sitaram for putting up with me, to Paul at Wren Turbines for all his help, to Adarsh, Chaitanya, Varkey, Umesh, Sushil and all the myriad of you guys for all the encouragement - and of-course to Nandan the test pilot."

Was speaking to Sushil Sir about this, what a red letter day for us indians, it runs on diesel i heard, superior, any one needs a 'Jet Only pilot' on hire for free, here i am ;)

Great to see indigenous, jet.  {:)}

This is really a proud moment for all the Indian RCers.

I just want to see more and more such projects.

Vertical Charlie was gr8,

First approach was scary, she almost stalled, that's the beauty of this Delta Planform, it has enough lift to fly slow, however Landing speed  is limited to undercarriage length (Exhaust Clearance).

the place was full of small stones could've cause a FOD, No ?

Sushil Sir,
Can you arrange for me to fly this beauty,

Brilliant absolutely wonderful  :salute: :salute: . But since it is built out of carbon fibre, i guess the price would be significantly high.

The project was ambitious to begin with. The original belongs to Nishant Garodia of "paylessflymore". That was used to make the moulds. The carbon fibre components were then made from these moulds. It was a painstaking process with a lot of problems along the way. It was Dosu's sheer persistence, belief in the project and doggedness that carried it through.

Unfortunately, the carbon fibre arm tube broke and there was extensive damage to the aircraft. But a reasonable amount is salvageable and am looking forward to the "phoenix" arising from the embers, if not the ashes!

I will try and keep you guys posted with pictures as it progresses. Or, of course, if ZAK II comes up!

BTW ZAK are the initials of Dosu's grandson.

There is virtually no other material suitable for airplanes like these. And although CF IS expensive, the real cost is that of the man hours of toil and struggle.

Nice built! Great efforts!  Building scratch built jet must be really challenging.  {:)}
Very much inspiring  :salute:

I need to know is the airplane completely made up of carbon fiber or partly carbon fiber & fiber glass?

When did this happen? Any photographs? As for ZAK II, I'm sure it will be flying sooner than most would think. The "Phoenix" WILL rise again.

hi everyone. welcome me to the rc world.

Welcome to RCIndia Sir. Looking forward to your Aero show. I'm sure many flyers would love to participate there.
When you fly electric, fly clean, fly quiet, and fly safe!
