Hi everyone, hope you're doing fine.

I wanted to know how we can carry electronics such as motors, jumper wires, receiver, transmitters, ESCs, PDBs and FCs, batteries, etc. for RC aircraft and drones on domestic flights in India?

Do restrictions differ from airline to airline (indigo, spicejet, airindia, vistara, etc.) or are rules same. What's the procedure? Can you share your experience and explain in detail the formalities that are involved?

(Also are there any similar rules on international flights as well? Just wanted to know incase in future i decide to go abroad and carry something like this)

Thanks!

The only thing I've discovered so far is only the Transmitters get detected and beeps go crazy on the scanners. Otherwise, I have not seen any other parts getting detected or beeped on. But this is my observation and experience and on international flights.

So are you allowed to carry these in domestic flights? CISF security people don't object people like us carrying all these fancy stuff into flights??

It's always better to carry such things in your checked-in luggage. And as the sayings go, never keep all your eggs in one basket. I normally keep the items distributed among bags. And carry the transmitter separate altogether. Last time they traced the TX, I told them it was for my computer to play games, cause I also had a USB cable in it.

But of course, as time goes by, they know what they have in their hand. I'm still trying to figure out what's in the TX that kicks the buzzer.

As far as the flights are concerned, Local or International, what you can carry in the cabin is the same.
