You can contact LHS like RCBazaar, RCForall (they had earlier tried but failed) and with the help of them you can do this.
But once you do this I will distribute 1kg sweets nearby :giggle: just joking but if you are successful it will be a great achievement in India.
Best of luck for your initiative

Thanks for replying.
How do you know they tried to make in india?
And what was there failure? Di they fail to sell them or they just made bad motors or cost was not good?

There has been, for over 10 years, a specialist manufacturer of brushless motors, as small as 1.5 gms in weight, in Bangalore, called DC Enterprises. Sundaram sir or Gusty sir may know them.

@technothinker they did not try making it but yes they planned doing so.
@KK Iyer Sir I knew that company before but forgot about it. The website seems to be changed from the last time I visited.

Good idea.Making outrunner motors is not the problem, if you have the expertise and knowledge doing it is very easy. The main problem is the equipment. It is very costly to buy equipment for mass production. Smaller batches of outrunners of good-very good quality would be much cheaper to produce by hand but will take a lot of time.

There is a good market but the cost of the product is a major factor. A smaller factory can produce high efficiency very good quality motors but in smaller numbers, so they have to keep cost of the product high. Eliminating most of low budget and recreational market. Only serious modelers would buy them.

A bigger factory can produce anything from high quality to low quality after researching the market for the demand for the various standards. The major seller would be in i between both, not of too high quality which will be costly and not of too low quality which wouldnt sell as much but can be produced in large numbers. Quality just in between would sell very well and be produced in decent numbers. But to acquire the capital to start a bigger factory isnt so easy to get.

Designing and testing it in house and then outsourcing it would be a very economical option which wont create a bottleneck in the production phase. Though finding a good trustworthy manufacturer is an obstacle. If you can do this locally(inside India it would be great). Outsourcing to china or some other place totally defeats the purpose you want to manufacture outrunner motors.

Starting out with specialized motors of high quality for people willing to buy them would be best. Then once you have enough capital you can invest in machinery capable of producing in large quantities. After you have an intital clientele which require high quality motors and are willing to pay then the rest becomes easy. Because after that diversifying wont be too difficult.

But there surely is a market. And quite a big one. Building your clientele, finding seed capitalists/investors, and doing the groundwork(sourcing materials, machinery, designing and testing etc.) Is the hard part. And i understand why you have asked the relevant community before even putting everything in place.

If you pull it off then
