Hello buddies,
Since i am making the plane by my own, so wanted to know whether there is any thumb-rule, for all sizes of glow engines, with respect to maximum weight they can fly along with??
I owe an ASP .25 frm RCD,and making a trainer.Presently i am working on the fusalage.(wing has been compleated. watch:
http://www.rcindia.org/gas-glow-nitro-planes/my-first-plane-with-sunboard-sheet/msg46834/#msg46834).
So i want the limit for the max weight i can go upto. However i am trying to reduce the weight as much i can.
The AUW of an airplane for a given engine will depend a lot on the type of airplane and performance required. A trainer with a flat bottom/high lift airfoil would need much less power as compared to an aerobatic plane.
Your ASP 25 should pull a basic aircraft of upto 1.8kGs with ease.
:thanks:
