As far as I know, this is the only RC plane related video "filmed" in India that has over a million views on Youtube.  I hope it promotes the hobby here in the subcontinent.  Click on the "Youtube" logo for smoother video play.

BTW, that Subhanjan person in the media, self-taught genius has some views too.  He needs to build an elevator on his scratch build design.

that subhanjan person doesn't have an aim, neither a direction. he reads about rc, builds a "thing" and behaves like he's the cats whiskers... people like our very own gusty sir or Lance sir will fly the s#!t out of his pants IMHO... ::)

getting jealous ?

face it - the guy knew how to use the media ... why all the heartbreak ??

Thanks for the comments.  We all have to start at the beginner level.  I am also self-taught with with early scratch builds that never flew right.  Whether Subhanjan is liked or disliked, no doubt he is helping to attract crowds to the fun of flying RC model planes.

Focusing on promoting the RC hobby in India, if you can make an interesting video with your RC project or with your flying and post in on Youtube, it goes to helping to attract more people to the hobby.  The bigger the base of users, the more the interest, the more knowledge gets shared, then you'll have groups of people coming together to pool their resources and maybe build a real flying field.

I posted this video to talk about building the hobby with responsible use of the media.

I agree with you lance sir, but some people (who we have spoken about enough) just want to keep the hobby to themselves. if someone asks them for help, they'll just give a lecture about how difficult and expensive it is. it is this behavior that bothers me.

@theleabres
Lance sir,
2 great videos. How did you get the second one? Tailless for drag reduction presumably!
Must meet you one day though you have no address, no phone, and are only to be found on a street near a school and recognised by being the only guy carrying a model on a bicycle! (As we used to do long ago)
I am sorry I was unaware of your credentials when I first tried to buy a model from you.
Well one lives and learns.
Warm regards.

Unfortunately, there might be RC enthusiasts who are on the snobby side and not as caring to share with beginners.  I don't understand that myself since we all started with someone showing us the way, either in person or through forums such as RCIndia.

Those people I just forget about and focus on how to help and how to share.  There will be some negative energy at times but if use our own energy to seethe, then the focus is lost.

Time spent writing posts here should go towards the positive such as passing on someting learned or what works well in a design or build.  Time spent on discussing someone who sort of misled a news article is like going backwards, getting farther away from the thing you want to accomplish - learning and   gaining RC experience.

Thanks for the comment.  The second video is just a link of the Sub guy making the news.  He has 26 videos on Youtube so that tells me he is eager to share his love of building and flying.  Although the news article was not accurate maybe it's not his fault.  Overall, you probably want to be his friend than to be his critic.
