Ellik

rockymunna

Hi guys.
As im importing the goods for the first time I need some help from you regarding the custom clearance.
I ordered 2 cartons of quadcopters (78 kg volume weight) from Hongkong through DHL,it arrived to Banglore airport on 12th MAY,I submitted my KYC and test reports of the quadcopter.
Its been 1 month and its still in clearance process, when im calling up to DHL they saying that banglore hav huge backlog aroung 5000 packages so its taking time and from the first they saying next week, this day or next day but its been 1 month.
Do I need to worry about this ???   :( , what do you think?

utkarshg13

Hi,
Keep your finger crossed. You've got a big parcel. 78kg is a really big one. Just you can wait and expect a good response from the customs.

Hello,
I have ordered $104 (without shipping) items from HobbyKing which Includes
1. Turnigy 9x mode 2 with Tx and Rx
2. Zippy 4000mAh 30c lipo
3. HobbyKing ESC programming Card
4. 3.5mm bullet connectors

The package was shipped with International Registered Air Mail 2KG LiPo through Malaysia post to chennai. Will I be attracting duty? If so, what is the % for the duty and what all documents should I have ready in hand if such case occurs? I hope the package to get cleared without getting caught in the eyes of customs O.o

desachristopher

hope it gets cleared without customs attention. cuz my turnigy 9x is lying with them, and they are not ready to release it without WPC NOC. which I dont have. I tried to convience them in every possible way. when nothing worked out, i told them to return the item to the sender , these guys are eating my head :violent:

vijai

Oh my god! Why dont you ask them from where you would get NOC? And what is WPC? I know a higher official in Airport authority (not too close though) but doubt what power would he have with customs?

desachristopher

have to get type approval from the WPC office, for turnigy 9x, which I dont think anybody did till now, there are some transmitters which are type approved, like flysky th-9x, and some futaba, maybe it was done by some LHS, we are not regular importers like LHS, and it consumes a lot of time to get type approval,
one more thing, dont try to contact the customs, unless and untill you receive any document requirement letter from customs,

vijai

Never! Read the old pages. I'd wait patiently for even 3 months to get it through post at door step.
But I wanna know what I have to do when it gets caught because I wanna get prepared for the worst ;)

vijai

Just wondering why couldn't someone provide fcc certificate of flysky th9x for type approval as turnigy is oem of flysky? I just downloaded the test certificate of th9x from fcc

NirajPatel

I have been through all this for just wltoys v911 heli Don't waste your time with paper work The office of wireless communication wont even bother to see ur papers as they have band all radio control starting from toys. I went with all the certificates of wltoys right from their factory Nothing works. Just send the goods back They will ask you to write an email request to do that. One more thin Never ever use Express Mail Service They are the worst of all Can u believe they dont even return ur good They keep them forever and just reply us that they cant afford to send them back. Ha !!!! Good Luck

HI everyone

I ordered a Turnigy 9xr and a face plate for it .
Total Cost : $53
Shipping Method : Air Mail from Malaysia

The custom duty was 2100 INR

2100 for 3200 worth parcel is too high

Why are these people doing like this

Are they simply charging so much or they have some norms

In the slip in the parcel I found that the parcel can be sent back for reassesment . Is it worth sending ??

asupan

Don't send it back. The custom duty is charged on product +shipping cost. Atleast you have got the Tx in hand. Enjoy it.

Regards
Asutosh

Nithinraj Kotian

agree with Asutosh. don't send it back they might ask you WPC approval and import license.

ShyamStark

Ok.. Thank You

BTW is the duty high or this is what they usually charge for transmitters?

Nithinraj Kotian

Normal duty is 30% but in your case it looks high.
