Well my friend seems to me like it would go again in office of exchange
then they may send it to the domestic location that is your nearest post office but you know patience is necessary here

I went to Mumbai FPO today and met a customs officer. They told me 2.4Ghz tx/rx is not an issue. Anything above this range is a problem.

If they are asking for NOC from WPC, then I am not sure why.
You can email them and check isn't 2.4ghz free to use in India? See what is their reply.

In my case, I received a call letter from customs, hence i had gone there. They told me 2.4Ghz was ok to use.

I ordered RC quadcopter Syma x5c from china based website. It has arrived in Mumbai on 15th June but still showing the status  "Send item to customs (Inb)" It's nearly 2 weeks in Mumbai custom office. Is this normal? Is it stuck in custom?

Should I wait OR.. Should I contact custom office OR... Should I call the site customer care service and tell them to follow-up with shipping company.

As per my experience dealing with customs is very difficult. My item was held by customs on 24/4/2014 still with customs Minic-cp with Transmitter. I have wasted my time with customs. If you pay via paypall better to raise with dispute with seller. don't wast your time and money with customs

The transmitter with syma x5c quad is also of 2.4GHz... so should I try my luck or just ask for refund.

As per my experience i am telling they will not release. I have done all the ways and submitted 2.4GHZ is allowed in India wpc site. Finally they asked EQUIPMENT TYPE APPROVAL from WPC dept  .
Try your luck . but don't wast your time. I wasted lot of time and money for this still they haven't released.
If you have any friends or relatives in WPC Delihi you will get your cargo. Other wise forgot abt your cargo.

Hi maxmus, luckily you are in Mumbai. You can probably go to the customs office and try to get it released. Most probably you will have to pay a bribe.

Or you can ask them to return the parcel.

Yes, I was also thinking to visit the custom office. Currently I have took this issue to the shopping web site and asked them to get in touch with the shipping company. I guess shipping company will have some contacts with custom as they are regularly dealing with them.

If things go smooth then it's fine otherwise I will ask them to return it and ask for refund.

Please update me what happens in your case. My cargo also with Mumbai customs.

I have found two documents on WPC site stating that "no licence required for use of low power Equipment in the frequency band 2.4 GHz to 2.4835 GHz" these files are attached. Will this work for custom babu...

Meanwhile I had conveyed the massage to shopping site and they are ready to refund if I return the parcel.

Please check the attached files and suggest if I need any other documents.

They will not agree with that. They need EQUIPMENT TYPE APPROVAL from WPC department. anyway check your luck.
