Sir I would suggest that you should try to contact customs Kochi branch by phone/letter/email .Ask them about the status of  the parcel . What all was in the package ? These days transmitters and other 2.4 ghz devices are getting confiscated a lot .

Thank you. Just 2 LiPos and some accessories. I have dealt with kolkata customs commissioner. He thought that i was going to bomb with my quad.  ;D  It took time to convince him.

Was the declare price 100% or reduced one? And yes what is there in parcel?

devangflyer

@linked it should be something like that only , just call/email/letter them about the matter .

Yes. The total price was declared i.e. $79 + $12. The parcel contains 2 LiPos and some accessories. Nothing related with radio.

devangflyer

What kind of accessories , it would be better if you can give us the whole list .

Many kind of items can get confiscated depending on the customs officer . Eg foam Glue (he can think of it as a kind of blast material )

Gajjark

Then find contact detail of foreign post office at your city and approach them with tracking number. Mail other than express takes 20 to 25 days max to reach to destination

Malaysia post received the parcel on 8th august. it was arrived here on 15th sept.

Gajjark

GPS word only make their antenna active :)

They dont think much.

I ordered one JR radio 3yrs back. they kept it aside and detain just because of a paper written warning about charging. So be prepared and deal with them softly. Dont argue with them and ask for solution.

devangflyer

So what happened to the radio ? Is it still detained ? Were you able to get your money back ?

Thank you for this information.
I have convinced them once. http://www.rcindia.org/rc-general-topics/need-help-with-customs/msg195017/#msg195017
i have no idea why do they bother about these small sized parcels. if someone want to do 'something' it should not be a wise decision to ship them via international registered mail.

devangflyer

Well it's kind of important right now to limit the imports cuz the dollar to rupee conversion is 60.80

Let the terrorists have some low shipping rates also

Gajjark

No matter how many time you convinced them...

They only knows New import means new process, so.......

I dont know if this is the reason then they never should have released the parcel that is worth maximum.
This is my last 3 hobbyking shipping details.

1) order placed:30th july   shipped:30th july   value: $ 93.17   delivery: Not received

2) order placed:7th august   shipped:8th august  value:$94.25   delivery:8th sept

3) order placed:11th august   shipped:13th august   value:$134.62   delivery: 25th august

Last one was received in just 12days.  ??? ??? ???

devangflyer

This all happens . As I had mentioned earlier , it depends on the customs officer and his knowledge about the product

That one contained HKPilot Transceiver Telemetry Radio Set V2 (915Mhz). they missed it.  :giggle:  :giggle:

I called them again. they told me to ask the international mail center. but i was told  kochi international mail center does not hold the inbound tracking details in the evening. It is available only in the morning shift. Confused.  :banghead:

devangflyer

You can only call kochi mail centre around 10 in the morning regarding issues

The shift ends at 4:30 you missed it by 45 minutes

Yeah. I missed it.  :'(
Hope for the best.

Thank you.  :hatsoff:

devangflyer

That's ok , try tomorrow , but please try it near 10 only as 4:30 is the ending shift time of Lucknow customs ( not a 24hrs facility ) so I cannot be totally sure about the timings

I had no problem getting my items delivered from Hobby King (Order value 140$). I used DHL as the mode of shipping. They handle all the customs thingie from their end and present the bill at the time of delivery. A tad expensive but felt better than convincing the customs for clearance.

Received that parcel. pheeww. !! Ordered on 30th july.
Today i called them they informed me that the parcel had been released by them. After 2hours 10mins it arrived.   8-)
Ips is still showing that the packet is in Kochi International Mail center.

Thank you devangflyer and gajjark.  :hatsoff: :hatsoff:
