Abhay sahab.... Everyone in Customs everywhere seems to be same sick people's union....

Today I successfully landed at Goa, got through thr green channel with my dismantled quad and the transmitter. Out of curiosity once out met a CO at a tea stall, engaged in a conversation and ultimately came to "drone" topic. To my surprise he said that till now they haven't recceived any news as such and also told me that people bring quadcopters, which he called "drones" all the time and they do not hold them. He then said that around 5 months back a similar "drone" was brought in and the passenger flashed out papers from some government agencies without them asking him. The matter was discused among themselves and finally released without any problems as one of the officers was a NCC cadet in his days and waved it off saying "this is a hobby".
Now so many questions and problems arising nationwide, I ask myself, " are they creating the problems, or are we making it a problem by answeing questions even before they ask" AFAIK, this issue here in Goa is a dormant one.

@ parichya:-Hey parichya,Now if you see If you get your Rc Stuff by economy shipping  that is not registered or airmail you will not be imposed customs duties as the parcels is just scanned one time in customs. But There is also a chance of getting parcel lost but if its Registered the same parcel will not get lost but there is a chance of getting customs duties imposed.
Now,In Fedex or DHL your parcel will not get lost and second thing it is 50-50 that customs duties maybe imposed to you. If imposed then that will be 25 to 42 % of the Declared Value.

Customs totally denied me to release of my parcel which contains WLtoys FPV V666. They said unless n untill i get the WPC NOC, they will not at all release my parcel.... What to do guys...??

Get a wpc noc , anything containing Rx and Tx are not released . You can try and bribe them though .

Tried hard bro. Offered very good amount for the same. But didn't work. Now just have to find somewhere/someone who can get it or has it.

You can apply it online , it will take a few months to be processed.

Well Not Months I would say years I don't think they are issuing it also or not Its better if you tell them to return the parcel and get the money back !!! This is the best way my friend this is only way.

I want to buy DJI PHANTOM 2 VISION PLUS in india but in USA the price is about $1000 i.e aprrox.(Rs.63000/-) but in india the price is Rs. 1,15,000/- so will i get any customs issues on mumbai airport or won't able to buy for USA??? PLZZZ GUYS WANT YOUR HELP!!!

Buy from India. Otherwise same issue of Customs may arise. Custom will be ok unless they don't ask for WPC NOC.

Its all there in earlier posts. But if u want than will put it up tomorrow. Its 63000 in US right? If u calculate duty without under invoicing than it will be something around another 26000 approx. So why not buy it from here. No headache about customs bro. My Wltoys V666 FPV is still into customs for more than a month. Just they want that NOC from Wireless Planning Commission. Which is almost impossible to get.

First Of all Welcome To The Forum. Now,Well As Your Tracking Status Is showing Retention Reason :- Awaiting Proof Of Purchase/Value From The Adressi. I think So you will Get A Letter From Customs That Submit Your Documents With Proof And Required Things.It has Happened With Many Forum Members Mate. So Just Wait For The Letter So you can know what what things they are requiring. Meanwhile Contact The Bangalore Foreign Post Office Here are the Details :-

it sent thru ems speed post. from korea.it contains camera lens

the seller shipped the item without invoice. eventho i'd already told him to attach together the invoice along with item

it's in the custom detention since 10 feb 2015.

how'd do u guys prefer to contact the custom? would u wait for the custom letter to reach me? or should i sent them the item invoice to them immediately?

would there any problem if im sending them the invoice earlier?  because i cant wait any longer. i need to wait at least 2 weeks for the letter to reach me

If the retention reason has appeared from like 7 days so it will be reaching you soon.Just wait till Thursday if you dont receive the letter then Contact Bangalore FPO/Customs and ask them what documents and to which address its need to be send.

aman1256,i didnt yet receive the letter from custom..and i called the custom and ask me what is the item inside? i dont wanna risk paying 30% tax for the camera lens thus i stopped the conversation. should i proceed with the conversation (in case im calling them again) ?  i would follow the advice that i shouldnt come to custom office personally as this would make the custom to charge me more and they will be asking lots of question. i think same goes to phone conversation.

Yes I understand that My Friend But I don't know why didn't you receive the Letter??? Now I think the Only way Is to call them and if they ask just tell them Its a electronic Thing But yes don't go to Customs office and ask them directly what documents and required and where to sent them That's It !!!! Lets See What Happens then my friend.

I hv ordered from Hobby King. Now in tracking it's showing "Held by Customs at Destination" since 23rd Feb 2015. Any one tell me how many days it will take for customs Clearance?

Did it have any radio or wireless stuff ?
