I paid Rs.5000/- for a HK 450 V2 Heli Kit, I guess you can consider yourself very lucky if you paid Rs.3300 for a laptop.

that is what my concern is..custom guys charged me 50% import duty (55$) over my laptop (110$ cost+58$ shipping via EMS in 20 days from china).parcel wt. 3kg......is this reasonable as chart above post also shows that laptops should have around 16% custom duty...what the hell these guys charging for.....should i lodge an RTI for their disgusting charging policies? 

IIRC, customs duty is levied on the entire amount (i.e. including shipping). So in your case it will be $168.

Also, import from China is slightly more complicated. Courier companies like Aramex specifically request the users to check with them prior to import from there.
You can send an email to to check the customs duty on Laptops from China

According to the assessment memo attached to foreign articles -   If the addressee of inward foreign parcel is aggrieved on the customs duty imposed on the article, he can request for return of the article to the customs for reassessment
You might want to check with your Local PO on how to do this.

Mine is also stuck at customs from last Saturday  Should I start to worry? I have lipos in that order(Air Parcel 1499gm). But this is not the first time I got lipos from hk. A contact number for the customs office would be highly appreciated!

Congrats dude! Your parcels seems to have cleared and is on its way. Its amazing that a shipment of 1.5kg was assessed and cleared by Kolkata customs in 2 days.
At Mumbai, I can never expect a parcel of that size coming from HongKing to be cleared in 2 days. Sometimes even parcels weighing 500gms are not cleared at the first attempt.

Cleared?? It says "held at customs".

Today i received a parcel from HK which was shipped on 13st july, to my shock it came with a custom duty Actuall cost of the parcel was $18.90 and 30% was declared

Last year I had got a call from customs(bangalore), when I went there they said whats the round object present in your parcel, and why did you order a cutting plier when it was available locally. AFAIK, I had not ordered anything that is round and why would I order a cutting plier?  . I told them it was not mine. The officer told me it might be a mistake and sent me back. Items arrived in 4 days after that. Just an example of something going wrong. There will be 100s of 1000s of parcels coming in and something may have happened. Just a guess.
