The cost of the landing/customs tax will depend on the person Custom's who handles your pacel.  If you read the threads, it's often hit and miss, and the only thing consistent about the taxes and fees is that it's hardly ever the same.

My parcel is in customs since 5th April, no LL, no release so far. Still waiting ... (its a big foamy, so i guess the size of parcel is what is causing them to get worried, the cost is only 60$)

The size of the parcel causes them no worries.  It gives them glee because it presents an oppurtunity for them to do their job of servicing the public.

I have a slight issue.I ordered an fpv kit from ebay.The tracking number given by the seller shows a wrong destination.He says HK postal department made some mistake and it will turn up in a while.Well iam not so optimistic about his claim.But i did find that the HK post has done similar mistakes.Has anyone had a similar experience?

      I had ordered some rock crawler tires from Hawaii. The seller has shipped them on the 24t April through USPS first class. I still haven`t got my parcel after 55 days it left!
I opted for USPS first class thinking that even though it does not have tracking through USPS, the parcel gets a different tracking number when it leaves Indian customs. When I called up Indian post, they had no information about the parcel and said that first class parcels are delivered directly to the address.

Do you guys feel that the delivery time of 2 months for a single parcel to reach its destination is justified in any way?
Does the Indian government need to be pushed in that term?

I think we all should come together to file a petition in that regard. Do you support me?

An irritating thing about india post is that the contact numbers for local post offices do not exist on their website. The numbers that the local general post office provides are all wrong numbers!! 21st century and still no organized work at all!! 
5 mins ago I had called Shivajinagar post office and asked them a number for the local post office. They did not have it!! Its clear they are misguiding.

Tell me how much did DHL charge you?  Don`t say customs seem faster than before, it will never be unless the public fights back at them.  1/4 amount that you paid to DHL must have gone in various ways into the pockets of customs!!

Hk post making a mistake is rare.
If you have paid by paypal, you can file a claim

But i have read in other forums of such incidents with HK post,mainly change in destination country.Mine is showing Bolivia,i wonder how that is possible.This is likely to occur during peak consignments they say.

no sometimes the route of the aircraft is diff and might have landed there but it will come from there to india ,even my parcel has been to countries and then come here it seems my parcel had a world tour and not me 

Actually my package hasn't landed there yet.It is about to departure and the destination country itself is wrong.I hope it doesn't plan for a world tour.

      When I used to ask for price quotations on alibaba, the chinese used to give me a minimum of 40USD quote by DHL!!! and that to for something less than 1 kg...
Doing business in India is a PITA because one has to put in way too much time in dealing with the system than doing a business that adds value.
