and before paying on alibaba, please read reviews, there are many scams. Also I prefer aliexpress over alibaba even though they are the same.

I got my HK stuff today, no customs

I have a big consignment sitting in the Mumbai port that is in problem from the past year. Its worth 50k. Ball screws and Linear Guide rails that I needed for cnc machine. The company I bought it from cheated with its quotation. I seriously hate the chinese companies. They are not worth doing business at all. The most interesting thing is that our government is not smart enough to shield its people. Our government is a p***y! It will kill its own entrepreneurs and then make policies on importing.

Even for Fedex those people gave me the same price quote!!40 USD minimum. If you ever did business, you will understand how much of a pain it is to handle all of this s**t!  The infrastructure to liberate our self is really lacking in India. Big companies have it but it won`t help the masses with low cost high quality products.

Aliexpress is for individual buyers. The same chinese companies sell stuff at higher rates than what they charge buyer companies. They in fact are making good money doing so because the individual buyer thinks the rates are cheap compared to the retail price he has seen in the local market. The chinese companies create ebay accounts and sell stuff to the US citizens at mind blowing prices......what I mean is that they loot the US citizens liberally!! and the US citizens ..lol...pay it happily   If ever the US customers were enlightened about the manufacturing cost in these items, they will be shocked!.. I have been into the manufacturing sector for more than a decade.

My parcel reached Mumbai! ..Piece of advice,in case anyone see's his tracking information for HK post displaying wrong destination,don't worry at all.

I tried to reach foreign post office Mumbai but my call was not answered. So I sent a mail to them and waiting for their reply. I hope they will reply and will release the parcel after customs inspection as soon as possible.
I want to know one thing, what is the time taken for customs inspection for normal postal less than 2 kg from Hongkong?

I don't understand why these days MUMBAI customs are so strict.. !!! Even my small envelopes are waiting at customs from 7 days . One had Turnigy keychain cam and other had some screws.

On the other hand me and my friend made 5 orders from hk and made them ship to DELHI which were delivered in 6-8days without any custom hassle. All order were of 2kg each.
And Mumbai custom may take 10-20days for clearing .

yeah man eve mine took so long idk y plus for a small package they have charged customs it left customs on tues but still not home will be home on monday i guess ..just hope everything is in one piece ..

I ordered boat parts from UK last Wednesday. They shipped it on Thursday evening by ordinary (not registered, non-trackable) mail.

I was anxious, as there was no way to track it.

I received the parcel yesterday (Monday) i.e. on the fourth day including a weekend!

Again I tried several times to reach foreign post office Mumbai but my call was not answered. Also didn't receive any reply from the customs so far. Now I really lost my hope and frustrated.
Or, do I need to wait some more days? Like someone said to wait for 3 months?
