Can you please tell me that is it hassle-free for me to import a 4Ch 27MHz Receiver to India?
I have asked the seller to mention this item only as a 'normal hobby part'

Can't say.Some have had good luck,some have had bad luck with radio related imports in general.I WOULD say its probably going to come through but just go through all the threads that mention radio imports to be safe.

I understand the issue related with it.
But it is safe to import small DC 12V motor, ESC, LiPo battery/charger, Propellers and Servos? Recently I ordered a 1100mAh NiMH battery, I got that!

yes you can import receivers easily

The other stuff should not be a roblem.Now that Akky has confirmed that you won't have a problem in importing an Rx,go ahead.

Small packages come through without problems. Most of the hobbyking parcels make it through without customs when under 750gms. These were through registered air mail, EMS will attract a mandatory customs check i guess. RX shouldnt be a problem if they dont open it up i.e. everything is in a small package.

I would be surprised if someone's innocent looking Rx would have ever been held at customs. AFAIK, the customs HS code has restriction only on the 'Remote' or the Transmitter. I have got 2 OEM Futaba Rx from Towers and 2 Orange FASST from HK. No question asked.

Just ensure:
1. the packet is small
2. NJot thru EMS
3. Seller does not put too much information/literature.

Well a local flyer in Bangalore moving out is selling much of Futaba/3rd party FM Rx. I am PMing his no/Name to you.

But how can you be so sure about that? I ordered my RC plane with lot of struggle, it took nearly 2 months to get in hands!

And I ordered my items from HobbyKing, shipping method: Air Mail (Registered), I paid two days ago (March 12, 2011) but they are still 'Processing' my order! Though nothing is in back order!

I have received orange spektrum 2.4Ghz receivers 3 times without any problems

i have some fm rx in transit, but i'm sure they'll get through; the package is only 200 grams

If this is for me then I have ordered WFT07 CH 2.4 Ghz with 2 receivers

If u r a student,move throug ur college or school..Get a certificate as u need it for a project..

Unfortunately I am not a studant 

What else you can suggest ?

Sorry to sound pessimistic, but if that is what you have ordered pray that luck is on your side.
It's going to be hit or miss as far as customs is concerened, so take your chances

Be kind and polite to the customs officers..I think tats the only way..

A couple of years ago I brought an easystar kit with radio through Bombay Airport.  It was at a time of high security alertness and all arriving baggage was being checked.  There were literally hundreds in the queue before me for the two only xray machines that were working.  I was at the back of all this lot.  There was a customs guy in a white suit and I showed him the kit box.  He read all the blurb on the outside and just waved me straight through infront of all the crowd.   Was I lucky !!!     I think it all depends on how you smile at the customs officer and be polite.
