Use registerd airmail. Dont use EMS, It's fast but defnitly you have to pay customs.

Hello, i am planning to order some rc products from Singapore hobby supplies before i do that i just wanted to know is it ook to order from SHS ?

Sorry to bust into your thread, but as of now importing anything into the country will be extremely hard because of restrictions placed on Imports and fall of the rupee. I would suggest that you either buy stuff locally or wait till the Economy stabilises and imports can be made a lot more easily

Hello Guys,

I have ordered a rc bike WORTH RS 9500. Arrived to India within 2 days. I received it after 15 days of wait from customs and was charged with Rs 4000 duty tax!   That is almost 45% of customs! Now The courier is waiting at post office sending for re-evaluation! What should I do! Should I pay 45% duty or talk to the custom guys? Please Help!

The courier was damaged so I didn't accepted it and its in post office for re-evaluation! But my question was should I pay 45% duty? I thought there was 14 to 20 % duty on the imported product?

This means if we order for personal use also we have to pay taxes. Is that so why cant we buy from india only the avaible products i mean.

 But how much percent of customs we have to pay on imported products! 14% or 40% ? Or is it on the custom officers mood?

duties are based on product type and can be found as per their HS code.....

From my experience it will vary from 15% to 45%
Depends upon the weight size and also mood of the customs guys

hi guys! i'm back again for a little bit...
i got a big problem... i got a call from customs... they want me to give them the customs invoice and proof of purchase.
i had ordered a bix from HK.... they also want a NOC from WPC.
what do i do?

Hello aniket . they said any reason why are they asking. i think they are asking these maybe because the product is not  meeting their rules and regulations and invoice for checking exactly whats inside the box.
Just talk to them one more to solve the problem .

hey aman. they called n said that it's a helicopter and they want wpc NOC. i told them it's a ARF bix... no radio/reciever in there... i emailed them the invoice now... let's see...

lets see what happens  aniket let the reply and then you post the details here what they said.
