I had to close my Indian PayPal account and open a new one while I was in abroad I am back to India, now I have been advised by PayPal to close my abroad account and open a new account problem with this is I had blocked all my Credit Cards when I left the country hence I had to apply for a new one not sure when I will be receiving it by the ways it through HDFC.
Question 1:  My friend suggested me that his HDFC CC is not working with PayPal anymore it used to before is that true ? If YES please suggest me which is the best bank to get a CC from? To be used with PayPal
Question 2: has anyone tried using NetSafe VCC(Virtual Credit Card) from HDFC through PayPal? I did I was able to go to an extent of getting my account fully verified but no success while making payments I get the message "Your card was not charged" something similar I don't recall the exact message though When called to HDFC Customer Support I got the message from representative that HDFC VCC  and CC will not work with PayPal .....period ....I am planning to visit HDFC branch to confirm upon the same.

Any info in the meanwhile will be of great assistance.

i Am using SBI credit card with paypal without any issues till now... and tried federal bank cc and south Indian bank cc...
But no use they are not accepting.
Planning to take an Axis bank account right now as the sbi card is of my dad...
Dont know details about HDFC But i can say go for SBI, AXIS, CITY bank they must wotk great...

Hey, so i was using the NETSAFE provided by HDFC initially but the problem then those cards are that they expire very quickly so every couple of months you have change the card. And one more and very important thing, i used the buy from HK using my HDFC netsafe but from last couple of months paypal do not accept netsafe cards. Its like sometimes they accept and sometimes they dont. I had written HDFC about the same and they said that its from PAYPAL who are blocking their CC but not from HDFC side.

So i was left with no option but to use my HDFC CC for purchase thats what i am doing.

And i have been using HDFC CC from last 2 years have faced no problems so far. If you are very prompt with payments your CC limit will be increased with out any problem.

For me, both Citibank and Stan Char cards have worked (as long as they have the VISA/mastercard) logo.

Bank of Baroda CC works like a breeze, never any issues

Guys !! Anyone using AXIS Debit Card to pay through PayPal ?
Mine always shows error - Declined by card issuer :/
It got the VISA Tag on it . My other ICICI Card works flawlessly .
I have entered the correct Billing address also but still doesn't work

i have used Axis Bank Debit and Credits. Both work perfectly. Have you used your card at an Axis ATM ? if not then it will not work. If you have used it at an ATM then contact customer care they will sort it out immediately (Axis Bank Customer Care is excellent)

Yes i have used it at an axis Atm also I have been using this card since 2 months And paying all LHS but no Paypal .
Will contact Customer Care tomorrow positively .
Read somewhere that salary account can only be used with Paypal ! (Mine is Youth Account)

i have no idea about this discrimination, i have a priority banking debit card, works perfectly

Mine is a salary acc, and it says that paypal is not verified by visa.
ive written about this already in the hobbyking section with the Email attachment from Axisbank.

That's really weird . Some cards working , some not .

if you want to receive payment just send your email id linked with paypal thats it no account number nor credit card number.

Recently Indian government has reduced the credit limit for international transactions like up to 75,000 only earlier it was limitless.

You can receive unto 10,000 USD in one transaction, though am not sure about outwards transaction.

Is there any fees related to receiving and sending amount via paypal.?? The amount if received from PayPal is transferred to our linked bank account or stays in paypal account?

AFAIK, PayPal charges a fee for every inbound and outbound transfer except purchases. To give you an idea I was charged about 4 GBP for a 100GBP received transaction...

The amount is automatically remitted to your bank account after 7 days, I believe.
Best would be to check PayPal's website.

Like Girish brother mentioned, the amount received is automatically transferred to your linked Bank Account as per the RBI norms. Earlier you had an option to keep the amount in your paypal but now if you dont remit it within 7 days it automatically gets remitted.

They normaly charge roughly 3% + fee when you receive payments. And as far as I recall your credit card / Bank may charge you when you make the payment using paypal.

Bank never charge for paypal transactions.Same way whether you use or not there is no annual fee for paypal account.

Now the limit has been restricted according to credit balance previously no limits.
