Spent considerable time last weekend redoing my workstation. Reorganized a lot of stuff and claimed all that space lost in corners...:D
Here are the results.

@Girish sir you and Sanjay sir share same type of work space ethics :)
Looks very neat and organized, and that DIY drill press is eyecatching, any instructions on how to make it?
Build planes like feathers rather than tanks, both handle bullets equally well.

Thanks Neil,
I have had one very good advice from Sanjay sir, "Whatever you pick up, put it back at the same place, right after *that tool's* task is over. Don't wait to finish the job and then clean your workshop. Never works". This one mantra ensures that the workshop remains clean and a clean workshop amounts to a great building experience.

Here are the plans for the drill press:

Girish: firstly each item in the shop has to have a pre-defined space & location.

Thought I'll start a mini competition during the Sweepstakes.
This one is for the member with the messiest workplace and most projects going on simultaneously.
My entry is in the attached pics. Every flat space is occupied!

@sanjayrai55
Request Sanjay Rai sir to be the judge.
(BTW Ashok Baijal's workshop is almost of the same standard as Sanjay sir's...)

These pictures are invaluable. Have downloaded them. The next time 'someone' screams at me for making a mess - I know exactly what to show her.

Sadly, I am now confined to my den. All the mess is restricted there. I don't dare do anything anymore in the withdrawing/living room where more civilised creatures frequent.

Having RC Aunt around may be a good thing.
Or maybe not...

Fortunately, on the rare occasion that she decides to tidy up, she remembers where every single screw, washer, circlip, strip of used sandpaper, even toothpick used last time to mix araldite is.

Have requested her to refrain for the duration of this competition...

By the way your models are taking over the house.... it appears that you need to shift into a bigger home or build yourself a proper Hangar....  Good Going...... Best wishes
Well I been into aeromodelling since I was in School....  and then been in the air for over 30 years.  Now looking to be back into aeromodelling full time...

@VC I am sure you have one of those erstwhile photos when it was one of those days when you were in full form of building with your complete workshop spread out and sanding dust everywhere in living and dining.

PS : My intention is just to record the proof of it to support mam.  :giggle: When you show her these photos she should have your's too to compare. >:D >:D

VC

Hang on - there was one that I had posted while I was building the Hovercrafts. Damned if I can find it now.............

VC

Aaaaah, found it - compare.

What a good boy am I!

On a sombre note, Ma passed away in 2012 and bequeathed her room to me and today I use it as my study. As long as she lived, she would survey the mess in the living room and all the trouble that I took in cleaning the mess up late at night. She would say, "After I am gone, this room is yours. Mess it up as much as you want to, leave the rest of the house neat."

So be it Ma, so be it.

VC I still remember having seen one with you with sanding dust everywhere. ;D thats the ultimate one.

@Iyyer Sir
I am coming in 2-3 days to act as an add on to your mess...  :giggle:

And this time it will be full fledged attendance from my side unlike I do always...  :)
