I  found  a table giving   thrust to a propeller  , it seems it is for an average lot  of  motors  which can handle its specific prop.

is  it  correct ....

no r.p.m relation with thrust and propeller size. :headscratch: :headscratch:

hi
if any one can tabulate motor v/s prop v/s actual model flying weight
it will be helpfull for beginers

ajith

which propeller will give more thrust .....  for a motor which is compatible with both prop

so  6*3       or      7*3.5          which  will exert more thrust ....

AEROVISHWA

thrust and getting air speed are two different issues...! or subjects..

normally thrust is the forward pull when the air is pushed backward...

regarding the thrust issue in the propeller

the bigger the dia of prop and finer the pitch the more static thrust you will get .. i.e if your prop gives 1kg of thrust it can hold the plane upto 1 kg vertically up . where as it will have a less relative ground speed when the plane is horizontal.

less the dia and more the pitch will load the motor/ engine as long as it forced(like when we hold it ) as soon as the model/ plane is left it will get a high relative groung speed.

HOW IT WORKS
1> more thrust: bigger dia props push a lot of air behind and the speed of flow of air on the wing(airspeed) is created by the propeller giving it the necessary lift but not the speed.

2> more speed: smaller dia and corse pitch props pull the plane ahead or push( incase of pusher) like that of a rough pitch screw ( that is why the prop is also called as airscrew) it pulls the aircraft ahead with a speed ( more distance in every revolution) , the wing cuts through air around it giving a airspeed over the wing, making the aircraft fly

CONCLUSION : use bigger dia prop if u want to do 3d flying there more static thrust is needed, and more pitch props if u need more speed like in pusher jets

BUT DO NOT GO MUCH BEYOND THE CAPACITY OF THE MOTOR/ ENGINE OR YOU WILL END UP DAMAGING IT . ( and cursing me  :giggle:)

And you can know several things with calculation.
We have to unite and to prove ourself to make indigenous products as well as marketing / Canvasing them. I'm sure we must achieve success if we try unitedly.

Well written... sometimes people just need a simple explanation without too much science :)
