Hello all,

As i try to get an Simulator i came across the Free app on Android phones "Leo's RC Simulator".

Can anyone comment how close is the same with real RC flying for a trainer plane?

Basic Question:  since i am new in RC.....
For Elevator what is standard Stick config.... Stick up --> Elevator UP or Down
As per my assumption if i want plane to go up stick should move up !!! But the above simulator was opposit.... is it the std setting?

Also how much throw is required for control surfaces (elevators & rudder). OK for sample if we take Easystar Plane.
As per my understanding too much throw can misalign the flight.

With Sticks we can surely control length of throw but at the time of setting do we set a limit of Max Throws? If Yes then how much (for easystar) & what parameters it depends on?

I do not have an easy star.

Question related to the scratch built i am making...( an easystar look alike) see image. The width of elevator is 1inch.

Thanks/// Saurabh

Leo's RC is not a simulator in real terms, it is a video game for rc enthusiasts at best.

Stick up --> Elevator Down is how its supposed to be.

Please take your time to search and read on the forum. You would find most of your questions have been answered before

Saurabh, your build looks very nicely done!. Why dont you post more pics (open a build thread)?

Its there but i am taking my time to do this hobby....very slow in updates.... I have to do a lot still to actually fly this...

I will soon publish the complete details for comments on issues in building & corrections from VC & Gusty sir.

Answering more to the point (hopefully taking away any remaining ambiguity)...  Stick up (pushed away from you) -> Outside edge of the elevator goes down -> The tail of the plane goes up and the nose of the plane goes down -> Result: The plane goes DOWN.  That is the standard setup.

thumb rule is "Stick meets the Controls" true for all controls.

Examples Left stick - left aileron comes up to meet the stick, right rudder stick the rudder moves to the right and meets the stick
Gusty's Hangar and Introduction.

A Good pilot will practice until he gets it right,
A Great pilot will practice until he can't get it wrong.

Taking a little trouble like going through the beginners' section clears many a doubt, I believe...

Wow Nice thumb rule! Never thought of this before.
